Obviously that's the point of a sandbox game, and wow some people with extreme views like to express themselves in it. Also notice how it's "non"-binary, instead of asserting the new number it negates the previous one. If I want to name something new, it's usually not in the negative, like finding a new animal and naming it "non-lion".

Well those differences are inherently important. A lion is a completely different species than a sea lion. I think dropping "trans" in a social situation isn't going to make a difference in many cases, which btw is NOT what the left is advocating for because I'm saying it's fine to know who is a real woman and who isn't. Additionally I don't think it should be forced or encouraged, or punished at all. I'm just saying the problem isn't really what we call them but the underlying framework of reality.

Yes this is all true, but I'm not suggesting that men can literally be women, but rather that new labels could be used. These new labels can be cleverly close to "man" and "woman" because these labels already have some gray areas like tomboys and feminine men.

To boil it down, the main problem is self-identification, not labeling a woman as man necessarily. The problem is that when people ask to be treated as the opposite sex, they are actually asking for people to believe that they weren't born the way they were born. The labeling is not a big problem otherwise. We already use these shortened labels everywhere else. We shorten "website" into "site", "movie theater" into "theater", "bicycle" into "bike", and I don't see why "trans woman" can't be "woman" when the details aren't needed (*as long as it's clear... i.e. "bike" can be clarified to be "bicycle" or "motor bike").

Hmm, well going point by point: 1) you don't need an elaborate scam to give people money like that, it would be enough with some other financial scam

2) The guns are still blamed either way, whether it was staged or not. no difference here

3) Who is really practicing here? Maybe some people behind the scenes, but everyone else can't be "reused" as crisis actors

4) They already have control over media and social media, they don't need to test it. If they're testing the effectiveness of it on crowds, then maybe this is a plausible point. Granted.

5) Sure, but it's not evidence. Both things can be true. Shootings actually happen and there is probably a ton of propaganda surrounding it.

The main point is that it's easier to conspire a real shooting than a fake one, and it's not even necessary to fake it. Imagine if the JFK conspiracy was about how JFK never actually got shot, and that was all special effects, and he lived in secrecy until he died. While possible, it's extremely unlikely and it's much more easier to believe a conspiracy just hired the assassin and made him lie about the motives. Similarly with Sandy Hook, if there is a conspiracy I don't think it's the staging of the incident itself.

If I'm an evil politician or person that wants power, and I want some gruesome massacre of kids... I wouldn't fake the whole incident, trying to coordinate everyone's acting and stories. Instead I would just make sure the shooter hides his motives, but the killings are real. That's easier, and much simpler to execute.

Staging the whole ordeal seems super unnecessary for any reason.

Would you say the former category are also men because they present as masculine?

Tomboys are still women, but if someone goes all the way and gets surgery, lifts weights, and gets a beard transplant, then it's easier (more pragmatic) to just call them a man. This doesn't mean that they are literally a man, but rather that they are in a sub-category of man, those who were born as women. More precisely they are trans-men, but the prefix can easily be dropped like many other words that are shortened when the appropriate context exists.

I would quite strongly disagree that there is such a thing as being "more of a woman" or "less of a man" based on conformity with gender stereotypes. This exposes the oppression of gender and my hope is that one day people won't be blackmailed into thinking they're less of a man because they're not an athletic lumberjack.

Yeah I don't think people should assign a moral value to being more of a man or woman. They should just be descriptors/archetypes that perhaps is rude to box people in. For the purposes of arguing whether a trans people should be call what they want to be called, I think letting men be feminine is already opening the door to this possibility. If a man can be feminine, why can't they go full feminine, including makeup, cosmetic surgeries, etc.? If we're ok with stretching those archetypes, then in theory it would be ok if some men are extremely feminine to the point that for practical purposes in society we call them a woman. The very important caveat here, is that everybody would know that they are really a trans-woman, and that you drop the prefix to be polite.

In other words, unless we actually oppress people into strict gender role boxes (shaming gay men, etc), we're allowing for trans people to be part of society regardless of whether it's a mental illness or not. But stretching the archetypes doesn't mean that we deny reality when the details are necessary.

New definition of woman just dropped by Datachost in TumblrInAction

[–]proc0 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The problem is that man/woman are loaded terms used in multiple contexts. We could use man/woman as synonyms for male/female, however the colloquial use of those terms goes beyond this attachment to biology. For example, we can ask the question: who is more of a man?... an athletic lumberjack with 4 kids that lives in the woods, or a feminine ballet dancer that is gay and lives with his parents? We could say both are men, but we can ALSO say one is more of a man than the other. The reason is because in certain contexts man/woman is also a way to measure people's masculinity/femininity. The more manly, the more masculinity, etc.

Therefore, it's possible to consider someone stretching that spectrum to such an extent that it is easier to just treat them as the opposite sex, because that's how they're presenting themselves on multiple levels. That said... the problem right now is that it is not enough to be polite, you must also believe it is 100% real. I'm just saying we can be polite and just call masculine people men, and feminine people women... as long as the ambiguity is not important. For example this goes out the door when dating, because it's important there.

That's a tricky one. A man doesn't think he's a woman, because it directly conflicts with masculinity. So considering them men is not as precise either. They're male, but not necessarily a man, and also not exactly a woman, therefore just adding a prefix to woman solves the problem, IMHO. As long as that distinction is present the boundary is clear. The danger is in letting the movement get away with erasing boundaries to only create illogical/delusional categories.

This ideology is fundamentally illogical. They will never arrive at a reasonable conclusion by playing label games and re-categorizing existing categories. There is an obvious difference between trans people and non-trans, which is that non-trans people don't need to transition or change their sex/gender in any way. One group needs changing, the other doesn't. Therefore trans-women are not JUST women, they are women who transitioned, and denying this is denying reality. On top of that, forcing people to deny reality is bullying, gaslighting, and totalitarian.

Just as one example, during 2021 all those millions of people that were thinking the virus came from a lab leak, are all narcissists? That line of thinking was censored and labeled as "conspiracy theory", but now not as much. Regardless of truth there, it seems like a stretch to label people just for asking some questions. The trust further decreases when there is censorship instead of straight forward explanations.

The whole Epstein saga is another example. Complete silence and secrecy around it from the media. There is obviously some degree of conspiracy going on there. This article is dismissing all of that.

This article is just muddying the waters of what is extreme nonsense, and what is a legitimate concern of how authoritarian the status quo is.

it's part of the globalist/marxist agenda. It started decades ago by infiltrating civil rights and gender studies, and recently exploded outside universities into major institutions like news, entertainment, politics, etc. The link is not super obvious, but the fact that language is being constantly changed is one piece of evidence. That's really what the whole controversy is about... definition of terms as to who exactly should be called man/woman. The issue would be a million times less controversial if it was ONLY about freedom of expressing your gender, but it's not. They want to restructure language and force everyone to think differently, typical ideological tactic. If they just created their own fucking terms, very few people would be complaining about it.

In summary: the West is under attack by postmodernism, marxism, and globalism in a perfect storm of changing language for sexual revolutions that will somehow also lead to the end of capitalism.

What progressives don't get is that although criminalizing this sounds unethical, it's probably the only way to prevent that behavior in the first place. Ironically, what looks compassionate is actually much more cruel and harmful to society because it makes the problem worse by encouraging people to consider it as an option.

Living outside should only be the extreme last option for people, but right now it's one of the top options because there is nothing stopping them from trying it out. You save money on rent, get free money from gov., sleep outside on good weather (at least in LA), access to a lot of drugs and sex, and police can't do shit about it. If instead this was enforced properly, it would discourage people from considering it an option, and only the "real" homeless people would be seen outside, which I suspect is a fraction of what we see right now.

I think it's possible but that doesn't automatically mean it justifies the movement and all it's demands on society. The fact is no one understands the brain at the "software" level, specifically things like consciousness and how thoughts arise in the brain. Therefore no one understands the root cause of any mental illness, including dysmorphia. Simply observing symptoms indirectly is not enough to understand the mechanisms of how it works.

Once we do find out, the cure could be something completely different than what is currently being done. Imagine some neural brain therapy that targets a specific area of the brain that somehow got "tangled", and this reverses any kind of body dysmorphia in the baby. If some cure like that is discovered, it wouldn't make sense to let people suffer by letting them feel like they were born in the wrong body. It's literally like anorexia or bulimia. It doesn't make sense to have those be identities that people feel proud of. I think it's cruel, and in a few years we'll look back at this time like we look back at lobotomies and other atrocities of the medical industry.

I don't think that is related. Don't you think the causation is in reverse, and the inability to generalize that drives the preference in video games? Games are just like movies, and it wouldn't make sense to tell people to stop watching movies when they're young otherwise you'll be wasting so much time you could spend on something else. That said, it really depends on the game, especially today. Some games are meant to be mind parasites, and others are meant to be "proper" games like chess, where you are figuring something out and are required to think and solve problems. Games are extremely diverse, more than movies or any other digital medium, and part of the problem is that we don't have a special word for the "proper" games that in my opinion make you smarter.

Their ideology never made sense to begin with. People just went along because "muh feels". It's full of logical contradictions and of course they're not going to admit any of it because their ideology has roots in postmodernism and relative morality. They argue from subjective experience and the winner is decided based on their inverted hierarchy of victimhood.

If everything is a power game and there is no objective truth then it's true that everything is not a power game and there is objective truth. And that the belief in no-objectice truth is itself a power-game, as the power to decide truth is power indeed.

Sure I would agree, but good luck convincing the wokists. This argument itself would be seen as illegitimate if they think you are an oppressor. It's really a way to dominate any and every conversation with whatever they want. It's a justification they use as a thin veil to fool regular people who don't think too deep about this.

There is no new state religion, it's the same as it has been for decades. Consumption.

I hope you're right, but you are missing how much this has crept into government. We have several politicians on the left now holding these ideas. Companies love it precisely because it's looking like half of the politicians are onboard, and they all think this is the only ethical future. Which means this may not stop at just fashion or marketing but rather something that infects everyone alike, young and old, workers, CEOs, politicians. It's a mind virus and so far it has captured half of society at least, because it exploits the weak minds of the masses.

Non-binary is essentially a fashion fad like emo or goth,

It's way more than that though. Woke-ism has roots in postmodernism and off-shoots of marxism. The recent trend to change language, and muddy the definitions comes from the foundations of the ideology that everything is a power game and there is no objective truth. It's a kind of dogma that is metaphorically like cancer, infecting people with its viral ideas which then go on to destroy everything it touches.

"non-binary" exists for the purpose of infecting and destroying the already established terms and concepts about sex and biology, of course with none of the evidence and only through silencing people and emotional blackmail. It's fragile and quickly crumbles under simple logical questioning (but since most people don't grasp philosophical concepts like truth, they get easily fooled). Unfortunately it has captured the minds of many people, many who are young, but this is far more than a trend and more closer to a new "state religion" (i.e. communism, fascism, woke-ism).

We got infiltrated by communists. It's on the coast and probably the first destination for the China (CCP). Much of CA land in cities is owned by Chinese (from what i heard, not even immigrants, they just come over and buy land). I don't know the whole story, but it's pretty clear schools have become centers of communist indoctrination, including woke shit, and in recent years it has escaped schools and infected the general public. Politicians, like the scumbags they are, just go with the flow and only think of getting elected and making money, which means they won't fight it anytime soon.

I know it's funny to point the finger to CA, but if everyone keeps thinking it's actually the state, it will happen again and again in other states until people realize it's communist thinking, or its too late.

I don't like the movement that seems to have been hijacked by larger political agendas like Marxism. I don't like the midwit NPC normies that are too afraid to even THINK about asking questions. However I pity the average trans individual going through what they're going through. There is no doubt to me it is a tough experience... but I can assure anyone it is not because they're not "accepted", but rather that they have a inherent insecurity and it makes them extremely sensitive individuals.

If someone has a wound and you touch that wound, they will scream in pain, but this doesn't mean that touching is something that is harmful to everyone else. We're living in times where these wounded individuals are demanding that we ban touching from society because it hurts their gaping wounds.

I can empathize all day and night with anyone, but the problem is not my "toxicity", the problem is your weakness. If you're going to force society into being more empathetic, then at least admit there is something wrong that needs to be fixed, instead of pretending everything is normal (or worse, that it should be glorified and celebrated).

I never said nobody was jailed.

According to the DOJ, approximately 640 defendants have been charged with entering or remaining in a restricted federal building or grounds, which is a misdemeanor.

More than 225 accused rioters have been charged with the more serious crime of assaulting, resisting

Additionally, 40 individuals have been charged with conspiracy, according to the DOJ.

https://6abc.com/jan-6-insurrection-us-capitol-riot/11428976/

How many people were at the riot/protest? Some sources are saying 30,000, up to 80,000, out of which 40 are actual conspiracy charges. The other several hundred arrests are misdemeanors, resisting arrest, but nothing to do with actually wanting to overthrow the government.

The question is not whether this was bad or a huge riot. The question is whether the majority of the crowd of 30K+ people showed up to overthrow the government. We're talking about 40 people who actually had conpsiracy charges, or even if we're generous, 300 people with criminal charges. That's a small fraction of those who were there. Not to mention that part of the problem was not enough security for whatever reason. Had there been soldiers securing the perimeter instead of dumb police offers who opened the door, maybe the crowd would have thought twice before going berserk.

I have full and final rights to my body

I was not my mom's body at any point in time EVER. She doesn't own my life. At the literal second my dad's sperm entered that egg, she had a responsibility to take care of me until I can survive on my own. This is the reality of life. Women have a duty to take care of defenseless babies, not kill them. I never chose to be born, and I would not have consented to being aborted. I assume pro-choicers would not have wanted to be aborted... yet now they want to kick the ladder of life behind them and prevent others from being born. It's fucking psychotic.

This isn't about freedom, just like killing another human isn't about freedom. You are not free to kill, but you are free to abstain and prevent pregnancy, or to at least settle down in a stable relationship before doing an act that very clearly can result in a new life.

Obviously exceptions exist, but just aborting because of financial reasons is ridiculous. By extension parents should kill their children if one day they can't take care of them anymore. A fetus/embryo deserves human rights!!

if it was an insurrection, it was the lamest insurrection attempt in history, full of incompetent people that didn't think through even the fact that police would be there.

I don't think we can survey everybody that was there to gauge the true motivations, however people have already been acquitted by court. If this was an insurrection, then shouldn't everyone involved be in jail? The courts ruled against that, with only a few exceptions of crazy people that were doing crazy things on their own.

Just like people fell for the Russia hoax, which is now admitted to be false, people have fallen for the insurrection hoax. Trump was clearly hated by the establishment, and they were going to do whatever it takes to get him out... but that's not democracy. People voted for him and for four years there was literally nothing other than extreme negative news that was for the most part lies.

The simple fact that there were no guns, and that the doors were wide open by some officer, already disqualifies an insurrection. I'm pretty sure if people had the intention to overthrow anything, they would have taken guns at a minimum, and probably would have started a bloody shootout between the military and the insurrectionist.

I feel people who fall for the lies, are extremely stupid when it comes to violence. They are so coddled and privileged, they literally cannot imagine an actual insurrection, so they fall for the lies that a mildly chaotic protest was "a threat to democracy".

The politics isn't explicit in your face, but rather shows up as what influenced the designer and director of the game. It's obvious to see there is a preference for the gay, androgenous and weird looking characters, that are glorified throughout the whole game, meanwhile the protagonist of the first one, who is a straight white male, gets his face destroyed and then his murderer gets humanized and survives in the end.

I think what they tried to do is teach white straight males a lesson. They wanted to make people feel bad for liking the first game.

This is hard to see if you're not into politics to begin with. However it is painfully obvious that there is an agenda and that the game designers/directors purposefully took the franchise in the opposite direction of the first one.

Joel, being the flawed hero of the first one, represents the patriarchy (to the woke). He commits morally questionable acts in the first, including murdering that black woman that wanted to kill Ellie. In the second game, Joel gets brutally tortured and murdered right away, representing how woke, leftists, and feminists feel towards the character. Yet even though this sets up a revenge story, Joel never actually gets avenged. Abby, his murderer gets humanized throughout the game, and she lives in the end.

It's pretty obvious that this game had priorities, and those priorities were not to tell a good story. It was to first and foremost show "diversity", "inclusion", and to make these characters shallow because otherwise you'll forget that they're gay or lesbian. They clearly sacrificed a good story in the name of an ideology.

I would also say Bioshock is political, and influenced by leftist ideas. However it's much more subtle, and also it was that way from the beginning. Last of Us 1, was not political at all.

Why is it that every single website has moderators that somehow derive pleasure from deleting shit constantly?

It's communism, really. You can trace almost all ideas back to some communist pedophiles in the 20th century, which they took from Marx. All of these sexual revolutions for example, these are all ideas coming from Marxist philosophers that thought the West was sexually repressed and people needed to revolt against it. So what they did was infiltrate the universities (as a strategy!) and start taking over the humanities. Fast forward a few decades and universities started pumping out battalions of woke soldiers that infected all other institutions.

There is also a factor of privilege on the part of woke people. They tend to be people that have never suffered and were pampered their whole lives. Without a personal reference to suffering, you believe bullshit like "silence is violence", which again comes from the need to destroy society to then create a marxist utopia.

The main reason progressives disagree is because they have no moral foundation (moral relativism) and also they don't value personal accountability. These two differences create most of the gap. One side believes in morality that somehow transcends humans whether that is God or just solid principles, while the other side tends to be nihilistic and hedonistic (life of pleasure and no purpose).

There are 3x more Trans 'Women' than Trans 'Men', Why Do You Think This Is? by HongKongPhooey in AskSaidIt

[–]proc0 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You probably think all the other things look more male because your instinct is that females are royalty and deserve special treatment.

No not really, but there is a distinction to be made between the average female, and the idealized version, which many aspire to present themselves as. That difference between reality and the presentation/idealization of their image, is I guess, sexual selection in action... the ones that can closer reach that ideal get more attention and over millions of years the ideal becomes reality. This is done in a much shorter timespan with dogs, and you can artificially select features and get that feature after a few generations.

Everything else is registered as male, including other species.

I'm mostly saying humans have sexually selected features for females (I thin k women played a role in it as well), much more than other species. It's another big difference between animals and humans, just like how humans have a prolonged childhood unlike any other animal.

Females are the default template and have a much easier time trying to become male than the other way around.

Then how do you explain the statistics? I'm not talking about the chromosome level, whether the embryo starts female or male. I'm talking about the genes expressed in the adult version of the phenotype, and how that affects body shape and features. Women and men used to be more similar to each other, and then humans deviated and women became more like children (also men, but more so women). So to go from more refined, delicate features of women to robust, larger features of men is harder.

Sure, it's the embryo. My point is focusing on traits that are expressed later with maturity. The evidence is in how humans look and have looked in the past millions of years and how that evolved over time. If the physical difference appear even earlier, then that's even more evidence.

This does not require that the wtc attacks were a setup. Would it not be far more reasonable to assume that the state had a desire to invade iraq (or any country in the middle east) and was just waiting for an excuse?

Those two things are possible at the same time. I'm also not saying anything with certainty, and I'm avoiding talking about the actual incident because it's already talked about at length. If they crashed a plane into a building, I would think they'd have more tricks of that type to try around the world. It really feels like they just gave up and had a couple decades of regular attempts, which I think suspiciously coincides with the time before people had cellphone cameras. I don't think terrorists would care if they get recorded because they go on suicide missions, however the government would definitely care if everyone has cameras.

For the most part I think questions cannot be asked (recently it was literally put on a watchlist), which to me is the main problem. Government took away privacy because of the incident, yet asking to be transparent is too much. That's at least very suspicious.

Is it a coincidence there haven't been anymore attempts at that scale ever since? Sure there have been some bombs here and there, but we're talking a crazy movie plot, stealing airplanes, defying the military, and crashing into buildings. Did the terrorist give up, did they just have that one grand plan? What was their point and why aren't they attempting more like this? Iraq had little to do with it anyway, so it's not like we struck at the heart of the terrorist camps. Surely they would have kept attacking at that scale after 20 years... it's almost like the war on terror was mostly fabricated.

All of these things add up, but people are too afraid of "conspiracy theories", which I think has been evident in the recent years with how news and media brainwashes the general population.

I'm talking about something different. At the genetic level it may be the case the fetus starts as female, but that doesn't say anything about the target morphology of the adult version of the fetus. Human females are not just smaller, they have a different morphology. This gap is relatively recent in evolutionary timelines for humans.

From this perspective it's not hard to see nature went from masculine to feminine, even in males, but much more so in females. No other female in the mammalian kingdom has enlarged breasts all the time, and more fat to accentuate form over function.

Even if we analyze at the superficial level, boys and girls are morphologically similar, and then it's girls that change into a different form, while boys just grow larger and that's about it.

I think something interesting to note if you look at other animals, is how the females in most species are just a slightly different version of the male. Even early humans show male and female as very close in appearance, despite the difference in physical abilities. This means modern humans selected for feminine females, and this created the appearance gap that exists today.

So why more TW than TM? Because males are the default "template", and it's easier to transform into something feminine, than the other way around. One proof of this is how you see TW competing against women in sports, including MMA, however we don't see the opposite... TM would get utterly destroyed if they compete with men. The same is true with just appearance, it's harder to add to your bone structure and look masculine, than add some padding for boobs/ass and then slap some makeup on.

Why is a 13 year old stealing cars? Why did the 13 year old ram the car into the police car? These questions are more relevant to avoid this in the future, instead of asking how can a cop be fearless and have super-human reflexes at the same time as reflecting on their actions in a fraction of a second. I'm not really a fan of cops, I'm more neutral about it. They follow orders and enforce the law, so it's not a mystery how to predict their behavior and avoid getting on their wrong side. If the laws are good, cops will be good, if laws are bad they will enforce those too.

Regardless, it's ridiculous to expect police to have so much responsibility, as if they have full control over everything, and then have zero expectations on the people breaking the law, making bad decisions, and hurting others. These events are certainly tragedies, but even a 13 year old (and by proxy their guardian) has a hand in the making of this.

Point still stands, you fix that problem first. Besides that's an exception. Blue cities have defunded the police, and expressed their disdain for them, while crying for the poor criminal that just wants "bread". The law says criminals should not have guns, yet that is not properly enforced (assuming it's possible). Let's see gov. take away guns from criminals, if it's such a good idea.

Plumber never had a real chance to fix because they got defunded and are also hated by half of the household.

Imagine having house plumbing problems, like the bathroom being constantly flooded with shit. You ignore the problem for decades. Then one day the pipes in your bedroom spring another leak, and this one drips slowly drop by drop.

Liberals look at this tiny leak, and demand that all the water in the house be shutdown forever, after firing the plumber and calling him racist.

The economic ideology is only part of communism. It's really a kind of religion. I think even Marx wanted this to be the case, and for his writing to be taken on faith. James Lindsay mentions this, although I couldn't verify the source, but apparently this is what Marx wrote in his manifesto, but was later edited out.

The main objective of communism is to create chaos at every level of society, and to use the weaknesses of a country against itself to destroy it, to then rebuild their utopia. From this perspective, anything that is indoctrinating people with the spirit of revolution, or the sentiment of rebellion against your own culture, is practically communism. It's just that it has evolved into sophisticated forms, especially after so much language manipulation, that it is now well camouflaged for the new generations.
