I believe being offended is inversely correlated to the mental capacity of the individual.

It is the lack of realization that the particular meaning of a word, the perceived intention of the author, and the consequent reaction, occurs inside of the mind of the interpreter. Once it becomes clear that this is exclusively under one's own control, it becomes obvious there is no reason to put yourself through unpleasant feelings.

If these reactions feel outside of one's own control, it follows the mental capacity is not there yet. However I believe most people can learn this. It's all in the mind.

There is definitely some harm from inhaling smoke from burning anything, but I wish there were more studies on how human lungs are more capable at dealing with smoke than any other species. It's not to diminish the harm but humans literally evolved around fires. Controlling fire was one of the first technologies ever, and I bet since then people have been smoking plants for all kinds of reasons. Only recently has chemistry allowed for unnatural substances to be made which even a pinch of it can kill you. My personal experience is that smoking plants isn't that addictive overall (you have to try to abuse it), and the main problem is second hand smoke.

In this case it has to do with changing the definition of words. EV's are one technology breakthrough in batteries away from making gas cars obsolete. EV's are more powerful, break less, and are easier to repair (less moving parts), but the only major drawback is battery technology (charging time, lifespan, relatively risky).

Cars just need a power source to make the wheels turn, and that can come from anywhere. It's important to separate this technological breakthrough from "climate change". We can still have new tech just because it's better and not because the world is about to end. Ok, so given that was going on, and Trump was such a threat for years, why wasn't there proper security, and why did some cops act like tour guides? At best we're talking about an incompetent government that can't protect itself, yet I don't see any investigation into why this was allowed to happen. That should at least be part of the investigation but it's so far only about how Trump coordinated it which seems like a purposeful framing.

If any representative or senator had been hurt or killed, it would still not stop the count or change the government. Instead the military would respond, and Trump would have surely been in prison. That would have been the ideal outcome for the establishment. So yes, they were trying to kill two birds with one stone... Trump was already out, and they were trying to get ahead by smearing Trump to make sure 2016 never happens again. This isn't far fetched, everyone witnessed the hate and lies told about Trump for four years. The establishment never accepted Trump, an elected president, and they are still waging war against him because they know he is a threat to their status quo.

Some of the cops DID let them in, there is literal video of this. It's not a conspiracy! You go ask them why they let them in, even though it meant insurrection and losing democracy. I have yet to hear an explanation why these cops acted like guards in a museum.

That's not the big picture. This was blown up to make Trump look bad, to prevent him from ever running again. The establishment hates him so much that they literally planned to blame him for ANYTHING that happened on 1/6. Nobody really "planned" it, and it could have been anything or nothing, but they got somewhat lucky (still nothing really much happened other than fear mongering about democracy, as explained above).

The establishment is doing everything in their power to keep Trump out not just in 2020, but also in 2024, and yes I'm willing to believe they think that far in advanced.

edit: for the record, I don't necessarily support Trump, or agree on everything, but this was my personal conclusion of that incident that same week after watching and reading about it.

Every single human is born with a DNA code that specifies exactly how the organism will look, the organs to make, etc., and even certain properties of the brain which affect personality, feelings, subjective experience, etc. This is all specified in code... a woman is a human being with DNA that has certain features like producing a womb (it's a spec requirement) ... this doesn't mean every single woman is expressed perfectly according to the code, but even those that don't still have it encoded in the DNA. Until we can modify DNA in every cell, no man can become a woman, and vice versa.

Gender has a function, which is tied to sex and reproduction. If your DNA doesn't have the code to produce a womb, then your DNA will have code to make more muscles, have a larger frame, in order to protect the other sex that has a womb. It takes two organisms to reproduce, therefore two sexes, and therefore two gender roles.

We can change this and deviate from the function of evolution, but we shouldn't pretend DNA does not matter, and evolution does not matter, and all this time men and women were interchangeable. I would have more respect for the whole gender movement ideology if it was framed as transcending human evolution, but instead it's trying to rewrite it and gaslight everyone into believing the reality is not what you thought it was.
