Using 22 year old data...

Referring to Khazar heritage like it is factual...

Not referencing in any way recent dna and genome knowledge...

Yeah. This is narrative pushing all.

Truth:

Most Khazars from said empire were never converts, just the elites.

The merchant class there were Jewish, but did not view themselves as Khazar.

The crushing of said empire killed nearly all the elite bloodlines well over a thousand years ago.

The population in general was heavily depopulated and dispersed.

The MERCHANTS moved farther west, and back southeast/west from whence they came-

That westward flow is the Jewish spread in the area called The Pale. This is also the bulk of later diaspora to Israel and everywhere else.

The Armenia and Caucasus area Jews have extremely strong close genetic ties to the "Ashkenazi" Euro Jews.

Both are most closely tied to Turkey area and greater Italia region Jewish diaspora from the Roman Empire period. These came straight from the Semitic genome, BUT were nearly entirely male, slaves, who intermarried into Med bloodlines over time.

Sephardic Jews returned to the Turkey and Golden Crescent Ottoman region post the Moorish Spain reconquesta after the time Khazar was destroyed- and they most emphatically are dominantly Semitic and from there originally.

Euro Jews ALSO had a high rate of bringing in converts via strategic marriages and also carefully hiding Jewish beliefs and blending in for a few hundred years periodically, thus the large admixtures on top of the Italian Roman genes in some lines.

Truth is, YES Palestinians and ALL LOCALS IN REGION have higher ratios of ties. But the bulk of Jewish immigrants have fairly strong genetic ties too.

I knew they were not genetically Israelites (the people of ancient, biblical Israel), I'm not sure I buy the 'Khazarians' story as the genetic studies themselves disprove that, their origins are very diverse.

Other "Jewish" groups butchered the Israelites back then.

The various groups claiming Jewish now and ISRAEL as home after that timeline are nearly entirely from a prior Persian Empire rescue operation, who came back with their new form of religion and imposed it over others.

The history is as complex and genocidal as any other in the greater Middle East region, and the peoples and religious claims as entangled and confused

You're referring of course to the 'P' source in the documentary hypothesis, that sought to reconstitute the dead language 'Hebrew' in the 2nd Temple period, much like the current bunch sought to 'return' to Israel 75 years ago and reconstitute the dead language 'Hebrew' into something a modern people could use.

But this is all crazy talk. God commanded Moses and Joshua to genocide all non-Israelites in the land, and obviously our modern Israel must obey.

More diverse than what this story would suppose, but still with nothing to do with the lineage of the people who actually were in that region (those would be... the Palestinians), so at least the overall point stands :)

Not that the whole "our ancestors were there before" 'argument' means anything in the first place. If it did, all humans should be fucking off back to Africa.
