Well, they were planning on fighting China by provoking them via Taiwan...

Small problems have arose that have made it nearly impossible for the promoters to keep pushing:

The 2020 lockdowns and shipping/goods blockade resulting was a very nasty wake up call about our utter lack of ability to make.... well, almost anything onshore of strategic or infrastructure or tech importance. Or even process our own raw goods in any usable way.

-That "moving operations" was neither simple nor even possible much of the time- many so-called developing SEA etc."allies" were unwilling or unable to step on the beartrap on our behalf and cut ties to China as a result.

-Second was the competency crisis irl, from complex chips to steel mills to engineering to building almost anything reliably. The vast majority of real experienced field trained and properly degreed Americans in every practical area were retiring and even dying at lightspeed.

-Third was the very high number of Chinese nationals in key critical high positions in America- research, design, engineering, testing, govt decisions. Who suddenly left between 2020 and 2021.

Alllllll of which should have been easily foreseen by anyone with any real sense.

Did they scramble? Did they think they had some plan that would work in a couple years? Yup...

Did those plans make any real difference in future outcomes? Not so much. But denial is a powerful drug...

-Then they caused Ukr to start in earnest...

And got caught on the back foot by Russia moving against them hours before their units crossed into Russia.

By swift targeted strikes by Ru inside Ukr on mil storehouses and staging zones, which took out most newer weaponry delivered as well as western trained forces AND WESTERNERS. Repeated as needed ever since.

By Ukr being both incompetent in leadership and badly trained for a peer war. By NATO.

By astoundingly high ratios of supposed valuable mil stock being cannibalized and derelict- from US warehouses to German training camps.

By huge numbers of heavily indoctorinated West Ukrs still being unwilling to die fighting Ru, and the vast majority East of the Dneiper going TO Russia rather than West.

By failing to recognize a corrupted social order would inevitably cause large volumes of western arms and ammo arriving to be stolen and sold on the black markets.

Which disastrously bad fails.forced them to intervene and prevent a truce via negotiating in April 2022.

But perhaps the largest, most glaring, and militarily unforgivable failures to take into account:

Russia already had insane amounts of Soviet hardware and ammo, carefully stored and maintained, most secure from any attempt to blow it up too.

And the ease Ru restarted production of ammo, tanks, and then collaborative drones. In massive volumes.

While we cannot even restock ANY pf our own critical ammo, which we have terribly depleted, in less than 2 years of non-use.

That last set is quite relevant as re Taiwan too.

Especially since China has refused to get involved or show any cards as re Ru or Ukr militarily, just continued to build economic ties with the non-West, including Russia...

And you can add the seeming shock in the West that NK has a perfectly robust internal production system of all mil goods, enough to offer to sell/trade some with Ru.

Are our ideologue neocon descendents of Trotskyites capable of learning from any of this? Or at least using more caution in future agendas? Nope!

As Isr/Pal has amply demonstrated.

But I doubt Taiwan has ever been that blindered or trusting of us. And if they won't play along it won't even start.
