This is that trillion dollar a year Pentagon budget being misspent.

Some grifting 'defense contractor' is raking in big bucks to come up with this bullshit. We, the people, are paying for lots of vacation homes for D.C. beltway types.

It's easy:

The inessential qualities that distinguish the races make a racial transition impossible.

The essential qualities that distinguish the sexes make a 'gender' transition simple and straightforward.

Also, up is down, left is right, good is bad, war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.

All that's required is some plain old ordinary doublethink. Once you get it right, your life becomes double-plus good.

Let me see if I got this:

Race is a social construct. You cannot change the race you were born into. Anyone who says you can is a bigot.

Sex is also a social construct. You can choose your sex at will, switch back and forth at will, and anyone who says you can't is a bigot.

You cannot change the race you were born into.

Sure you can! Ask Elizabeth Warren how 😺

Listen, Fat. Supposedly Warren's DNA results show a strong possibility of First Nations ancestry about seven generations back. If that doesn't qualify her to fill two affirmative action slots at Harvard U, what would? Besides, she only indicated First Nations ancestry because she wanted to meet others with the same. And every college prof knows that putting that on her job application would be the best way to accomplish that! Honestly, you people!. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_tribes_in_Massachusetts

Besides, haven't you watch Bridgerton on Netflix? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/mar/12/race-monarchy

It's called transhumanism and the billionaires have a major hard on for it. That's why those ideas are being pushed so fast and hard now.

And the technology just isn't there to meet their ridiculous sci fi dystopic ideas.

[–]kingsmegLiberté, égalité, fraternité 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (30 children)

Not so sure about that. Transhumanism is indeed a goal for the super-rich, which they have no intention of sharing with the rest of us. Yes, they want body and mind augmentation and to live forever, but they especially want these things so they can look down on us miserable poors dying of easily treatable diseases, age 55 or so or whenever we are no longer 'productive' (ie we're not making them money). Because they despise us. You always end up despising the people you oppress, it's a normal psychological defense mechanism.

So why would they be pushing transsexualism on kids? Perhaps the operative part is the 'sexualism', not the 'trans'.

It seems to be in part an effort to break down all cultural taboos surrounding mutilating the human body. This was a very strong taboo before. Even tattoos were rather frowned upon in the recent past.

Now things have been totally reversed. Criticizing mutilation, modification and experimentation upon the human body has become an extreme taboo that can get you cast out of polite society.

This sets the stage for acceptance of implantation of brain-computer interfaces, and the microchipping the population for centralized control over the body of every human being, one of the less-publicized aspects of transhumanist ideology which is typically ignored since the idea is only appealing to the people who would gain incredible power from such a system.

This was a very strong taboo before.

Except when mandated by religious dogma. In that case the taboo goes the other way, you're not allowed to criticize it.

They're essentially trying to expand this to everything else, while making sure that they remain at the top of the pyramid.

microchipping the population for centralized control over the body of every human being

Not every human, only the ones who have 'jobs'. The rest of us, they plan to cull.

I realized some time ago that this was Muskrat's plan for life on Mars. Since without the microchips, Musk himself would be dead before ever reaching Mars.

[–]MolecCodiciesCOVID-9/11 Vaccines Don’t Work[S] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (21 children)

His Mars “plans” are seemingly completely nonsensical and impossible. The only way “humans” could conceivably live on mars is if we were biologically modified to such a radical extent that we could no longer be called humans in any sense. So it would actually be creatures, or robots colonizing mars.

There is no apparent evidence that doing anything like this is even remotely possible or will be any time in the foreseeable future. Nor is there even evidence that a manned mission to mars even for a short visit is possible with current technology. We can’t even manage to return to the moon, for some reason.

Even if we could do all that somehow, why? There is no benefit from living on mars. Earth is obviously a much more desirable planet to live on.

Even if we could do all that somehow, why? There is no benefit from living on mars. Earth is obviously a much more desirable planet to live on.

There are 2 possible benefits: 1- developing and testing the microchip technology, which he apparently just got permission to test on humans, and which is obviously military. And 2- Earth may be uninhabitable for a few years in the near future due to nuclear winter. Billionaires are all busy making plans to survive that.

The remaining suggested possibility

developing and testing the microchip technology, which he apparently just got permission to test on humans, and which is obviously military

Raises the question: If this is about developing a brain-machine interface, why not test it on earth, or perhaps the moon?

[–]kingsmegLiberté, égalité, fraternité 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

He is testing on Earth, no one has any real plans to go to Mars. I'm saying it's obviously military because all of Muskrat's pet projects turn out to have real-world military applications, from Tesla cars spying on everyone exactly like Google street view used to do, to Starlink's satellites being used to target cruise missiles in Ukraine, to Twitter being part of the deep state's propaganda machine, etc etc etc.

Obviously the military wants to implant soldiers with chips that allow communication, plus turning off fear and turning on aggression. They've been using drugs for this for a century or more, but that's messy and unpredictable. They will invest billions for a high-tech solution, and Musk is there with his hand out to get some of that sweet, sweet cash.

I can agree with this assessment completely.

https://youtu.be/N02SK9yd60s

Although the mars aspect seems like a major failure from a propaganda perspective. I think Musk most likely made his absurdly overconfident claims based on previous false claims made by the US government. Now their intermingling false narratives are leading to fundamental narrative problems.

Earth may be uninhabitable for a few years in the near future due to nuclear winter.

I cannot conceive of any scenario in which earth could become less habitable than mars. Certainly not nuclear winter. Mars is already extremely radioactive, it has no atmosphere and insufficient magnetic field so you would be constantly bombarded by radiation. No atmosphere also means you can’t breathe there, of course. Any sort of shelter you might build to supply you with an artificial atmosphere could much more easily be built on earth

Perhaps most notably Mars lacks sufficient gravity to support human life. Our muscles and bones would waste away rapidly due to the lower gravity and that by itself would kill any human within months.

I suggest you take a look at Wiki-Pooh's article on Artificial Gravity

In 1964, the Soviet space program believed that a human could not survive more than 14 days in space for fear that the heart and blood vessels would be unable to adapt to the weightless conditions. This fear was eventually discovered to be unfounded as spaceflights have now lasted up to 437 consecutive days, with missions aboard the International Space Station commonly lasting 6 months.

This would seem to agree with my statements that living outside of earth’s gravity for a period longer than approximately 6 months is not possible.

Also artificial gravity is much more achievable on a rotating space station than on a planet with a pre-existing orbit which cannot easily be altered. (How would you accelerate the rotation of mars?)

Uhhh..... Musk is a bullshitter in the classic tradition. He tells people stories, gets them to buy into pie-in-the-sky projects, but in the real world he's sucking on the government teat for all the cash he can get.

It's impossible to implement unless you get something like Altered Carbon or Cyberpunk 2077 level technology. We are a long long way from that.

The idea that they will transfer consciousness from the brain to a computer is absurd. Cyberpunk 2077 depicts this rather accurately with the Relic/Engram project, as depicted in the Arasaka ending. The best they can do is make a copy of a very elite individual’s human psyche, to weild as an immortal overlord to rule over humanity.

They cannot actually grant any human individual immortality through these means. This is impossible, as the human consciousness is a physical object which cannot simply be transferred to a computer.

I know you were joking, but i think this is an interesting thought experiment.

Today we can use a computer to scan a 3D object and then use a 3D printer to build a copy of that 3D object.

There is no reason to believe that it will ever be possible to transfer a 3D object into cyberspace in such a way where it ceases to exist in the physical realm and continues to exist in a digital realm, continuously “experiencing” physical interactions from the same perspective as it did before.

This is actually self-evidently impossible, but movies have conditioned us to entertain the idea.

Materialism is the currently prevailing (by FAR) school of thought in the realm of science. According to scientists, literally nothing exists except physical objects.

According to this point of view, the human consciousness is nothing more than the sum of the parts of the human nervous system. The brain, the nerves, the gut, the microbiome, etc. None of this is software that can be uploaded to a computer in such a way where an individual consistently experiences consciousness from one medium (the body) to another (a machine).

Differing points of view that see consciousness as something other than material are considered extremely fringe and are almost completely unexplored by the scientific community.
