Not every human, only the ones who have 'jobs'. The rest of us, they plan to cull.

I realized some time ago that this was Muskrat's plan for life on Mars. Since without the microchips, Musk himself would be dead before ever reaching Mars.

His Mars “plans” are seemingly completely nonsensical and impossible. The only way “humans” could conceivably live on mars is if we were biologically modified to such a radical extent that we could no longer be called humans in any sense. So it would actually be creatures, or robots colonizing mars.

There is no apparent evidence that doing anything like this is even remotely possible or will be any time in the foreseeable future. Nor is there even evidence that a manned mission to mars even for a short visit is possible with current technology. We can’t even manage to return to the moon, for some reason.

Even if we could do all that somehow, why? There is no benefit from living on mars. Earth is obviously a much more desirable planet to live on.

Even if we could do all that somehow, why? There is no benefit from living on mars. Earth is obviously a much more desirable planet to live on.

There are 2 possible benefits: 1- developing and testing the microchip technology, which he apparently just got permission to test on humans, and which is obviously military. And 2- Earth may be uninhabitable for a few years in the near future due to nuclear winter. Billionaires are all busy making plans to survive that.

Raises the question: If this is about developing a brain-machine interface, why not test it on earth, or perhaps the moon?

He is testing on Earth, no one has any real plans to go to Mars. I'm saying it's obviously military because all of Muskrat's pet projects turn out to have real-world military applications, from Tesla cars spying on everyone exactly like Google street view used to do, to Starlink's satellites being used to target cruise missiles in Ukraine, to Twitter being part of the deep state's propaganda machine, etc etc etc.

Obviously the military wants to implant soldiers with chips that allow communication, plus turning off fear and turning on aggression. They've been using drugs for this for a century or more, but that's messy and unpredictable. They will invest billions for a high-tech solution, and Musk is there with his hand out to get some of that sweet, sweet cash.

Although the mars aspect seems like a major failure from a propaganda perspective. I think Musk most likely made his absurdly overconfident claims based on previous false claims made by the US government. Now their intermingling false narratives are leading to fundamental narrative problems.

I cannot conceive of any scenario in which earth could become less habitable than mars. Certainly not nuclear winter. Mars is already extremely radioactive, it has no atmosphere and insufficient magnetic field so you would be constantly bombarded by radiation. No atmosphere also means you can’t breathe there, of course. Any sort of shelter you might build to supply you with an artificial atmosphere could much more easily be built on earth

Perhaps most notably Mars lacks sufficient gravity to support human life. Our muscles and bones would waste away rapidly due to the lower gravity and that by itself would kill any human within months.

This fear was eventually discovered to be unfounded as spaceflights have now lasted up to 437 consecutive days, with missions aboard the International Space Station commonly lasting 6 months.

This would seem to agree with my statements that living outside of earth’s gravity for a period longer than approximately 6 months is not possible.

Also artificial gravity is much more achievable on a rotating space station than on a planet with a pre-existing orbit which cannot easily be altered. (How would you accelerate the rotation of mars?)

I think you are making it much harder than it needs to be. Just use a Gravitron.

Besides, the surface gravity of Mars is 0.3794 g. It's not like you're in free fall as in a space station. My guess is that you may not even need artificial gravity. "Now, watch this drive!"

    This is true. But in a Gravitron, "the world is hollow and I have touched the sky". As the rotation speeds up, the centrifugal force pushes you against the wall. Faster rotation, stronger force. As an insect crawling on the wall, it's indistinguishable from gravity. I'm guessing that the physiological systems within your body are likewise fooled.

      I am pretty confident we will see a manned mission to Mars at some point in the next 30 years. But it will be a vanity mission, not a real effort to colonize Mars. AFAIK humans can only survive on 1 planet, Earth, and I see no signs that this will ever change, unless faster-than-light travel is a real possibility (vanishingly unlikely).
