Those left of Democrats are left wing and Democrats are the other right wing of America's uniparty, sometimes referred to by me as "the other right meat." And that is why both parties have us focusing on culture war issues. The rest of this is something I've posted before:

They are complicit with each other, much as were the Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals. Each plays a different role in D.C. Kabuki Theater, much as the Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals had different roles to play. Funny thing, though: Once the pretense or rivalry ceased being sufficiently profitable and the Trotters and the Generals stopped playing, the trademarks ended up with the same owner.
