...an American non-sexual lump screams Russians are inhuman.

No, worse: Not people.

It is long-past time we decoupled "person" from "human" - and this recent sub-cult of "human being this, human being that" is downright devolutionary.

Of course I recognize the dangers of this, hence it needs to be a slow, pragmatic process rather than a radical one (which would require knowing precisely the correct end-point, which itself is the notorious fatal conceit of many a radical movement), but I've always believed "the human condition" is a thing in need of a cure anyways, not some endless PostModernistNeoMedievalist bukakke-circle.

Trying to be more Christ-like

A bit drastic, but all right. I'll start braiding scourges. We'll need some men to kick over tables.

We have been toxified, amputated and atomized from community.

That's exactly what predators do, isolate the weakest members of the herd that in human societies then become enablers of the predators. We're in an existential crisis, we can no longer afford the luxury of blissful ignorance about what exactly is going on - especially when it's becoming ever more blatant - or how we can inadvertently perpetuate it. As much as I deplore Nancy Reagan, "just say no" is sage advice in the current circumstances, as is el gato malo's mantra that I use for my flair - Become ungovernable.

It's how you fight that IS the fight. Sometimes our only weapon is our refusal.

I failed to mention the fact that my phone has been bricked and throttled for some untold reason (though it probably is due to me shit-talking Gates, Musk, Elon, Hillary, Oprah etc directly.)

Try functioning in society on 1g, experience that sensation of total isolation and loss in the marketplace of isolation and loss.

Our culture is refusing community- we have no concept of the word marriage, we have zero relationships with our pets as we treat them as npc accessories (nobody would walk barefoot on what they walk their dogs on) and everyone is in a break-neck race just to get through the day, day by day.

AND THEY'RE FUCKING PROUD OF IT.

Not really surprising given how we as a society have allowed ourselves to be lulled into complacency; distracted by amusements and conveniences intermixed with FUD that keeps us compliant and outrage porn that fuels our self-righteousness; destroying the commonwealth by pitting us against each other along geographic (urban/suburban/exurban vs. rural), educational (PMC vs. working class), demographic (white vs. black and brown, male vs. female including sexual identity and orientation) and ideological (populist vs. everything else) lines; convinced that tyranny of the minority is in any way preferable to tyranny of the majority. It's easier to pick us off this way.

The only way we regain community is to talk to each other one-on-one, setting aside where we differ and focusing on where we agree. We know we have the numbers to prevail if enough people can be convinced of who the real enemy is. It won't be easy, too many people are still sleepwalking through the ideological framing they've been given. But more and more people are waking up every day - unfortunately, it often requires that they be personally affected before that happens.

A mere fraction of the population participates in online political forums but subs like this are a microcosm of the possible, a place where people from the "left" and the "right" and everything in between can discuss and agree on many things. It's not enough but it's a start, and we shouldn't underestimate the potential for its expansion and impact as more and more people finally get online in search of answers to what in the hell is happening to their world.

In for a penny, in for a pound. It's also been added to our noteworthy posts collection.

Haven't seen a good, old-fashioned rant here in a while. I may quibble about some particulars you wrote but not the gist.

I appreciate that but if I'm talking about confronting people at large ya might as well confront me about certain particulars. 👍

I'm not feeling confrontational. Wanted to give you 👏 without indicating total agreement.

Rant on, brother. George Carlin left a big hole.
