I was checking out SRD for the first time in forever today. Holy shit, that sub is hyper pozzed now. Mods have stickied all over that TERFs will be immediately banned. A top post is discussing and defending the lgbt sub for going private in SUPPORT of Aimmee Challenor and the sub is defending them. Also, why does a sub of less than a million subscribers need 30+ mods?

Pretty much. I'm not a particular fan of most feminists, but if you are a feminist in that you're concerned with women's issues, you should be a TERF. Otherwise, you're not really a feminist, you're just part of the SJW cult and like the label feminist.

It has nothing to do with whether it's a good thing or not. The only reason terfs are opposed to it is because they literally just hate men so much that they can't stand the idea of a man pretending to be a woman. It doesn't make them allies of the right, they are opposed to us on every other issue.

I know they won't care that I'm defending them on this (even though they won't see it that way), but TERF is a fine label because it is an honest descriptor. Pejoration is in the eye of the beholder.

Now, I know feminism to be a bad thing. But they will disagree.

Do you really need to ask that question? Of course you know why they need 30+ mods. They need to keep all of the fragile pedos there from seeing anything that might cause them to have a mental breakdown.

You are playing into their hands by accepting the premise that all of this is the result of "fragile users needing protection". The reality is that the censorship is about maintaining a narrative that the majority of people would speak out against. Usually because they find it abhorrent or dangerous. It's about creating the illusion that the propaganda is widely accepted.

By creating an Overton Window and a false consensus, people can disproportionately shape culture and thus shape minds.

People need to be vary aware of the media we consume, because it affects us even when we think it doesn't.

I think I pretty much became a "right wing extremist" even though none of my views really changed just because I basically stopped watching TV when I was 18 because I was too busy, with my media consumption basically limited to reading books on the train and watching some DVDs of old shows. Then I wake up one day to find the whole world has gone insane.

I probably became a little more pro-small government, and a little more pro-life, but it's hard to tell how much of that was being pushed out of the left and opening my ears to what the right has to say, or just being and adult and getting some life experience under my belt.

But my values and principles are all exactly where they were when I was in college and considered myself very left wing.
