For those of you who not not know what a "glassing" it's quite simply and an oddity on earth mostly to the UK = a glass beer mug or cup if you will smashed into the face of your victim and facial lacerations can be quite severe. About 2 years ago on business to Ireland I was down to Limerick minding my own business and a young punk offended at my using a laptop computer set to bar instead of watching footy. He came up behind and bumped me to express his anger and I told him to fuck off and immediately back went his beer mug to deep right field and I just held up one finger and said in my daddy voice "NOW HOLD ON PUNK YA DON'T SMASH A MAN WHEN HE IS SITTING DOWN" so I got up from chair and he rared back to smash his beet mug to my face and that left his own face wide open to a straight jab left from me. And splat on ground down he went. So, no glassing for me that night and punk got a badly busted nose for an education to not fuck with old men from Texas.

Somewhat funny as it perfectly describes governments = British Parliament was considering crafting a new law forcing pub owners to use glassware that would not break apart and since that does not work with the glass bottle/jar industry (you cannot make glassware laminated or unbreakable) they considered forcing all pubs to use metal mugs and investigating the cost were told that metal mugs of various shapes and sizes would cost the pub owner 15-20 x as much as glassware the whole idea just went away. So the idea of a "glassing" is still common as hell in the UK somewhat unique to the entire planet. The whole kadooky here started because I just wanted to let the average Joe and Jane what a "glassing" is. It's just not a world wide gig it is an oddity to the UK and about it from what I know. Common as hell over there and I had an incident myself in Ireland far south of Dubby when a skinny punk wanted to try that shit on me. Didn't work out very well for him. Metal mugs can be a good weapon but they won't slash your face flesh open. Glassing facial injuries quite horrific as I posted up a link on the string to see them.

Personally I would say its more of a combo of doing generally less damage/WOW effect/less likely to be towards strangers rather than less frequently violent.

Well now you're no longer talking in generalities, and more specifically domestic violence. But sure, let's ponder why is DV higher for women? Is it really because they're generally more violent than men? If so why are women so underrepresented vs men across most other violent crimes? Would the way western men and women are raised have anything to do with it? E.g. "Never hurt a woman", vs "You can hit a man and he probably won't hit back"? That might have something to do with it, among I'm sure many other factors.

But in general, I'm standing my ground here. Men are generally more violent. But I'm not saying that's necessarily always a bad thing. And if you read up on evolutionary psychology (which can be a taboo subject these days I realize) then you may begin to see why men and women tend to have such different temperaments and propensities toward violence and aggression. At the end of the day, the differences we observe are just the side-effects of how natural selection wired us up over millions of years.

Like I said I think women are more likely to be violent towards those they know and men to others they don't while hiding behind "you can't hit me I am a woman".

Then there is the old goto "proxy violence" I honesty don't think they are any less violent, its just expressed differently for the most part.

Listen here. I do not condone violence against women, I could kill a woman with my right hand and zero effort, or at the very least turn her tarded.
