Apparently he "decided to step away from the classroom this year," which probably means he got fired. Still, he says he was teaching for 17 years, which is wild to me. I guess it's Oregon though.

I am 100% serious when I say I would lose my job and be barred from teaching for doing this.

Leaving aside all the political shit that is hanging in the classroom, which would also be grounds for disciplinary proceedings, the taunting nature of the video, clearly aimed at parents of the children being taught, would be considered gross misconduct and grounds for immediate dismissal and that is with a very strong union that have made sacking teachers for incompetence nigh on impossible.

Oh and let’s talk about professional standards for a second. Why would you think a fucking nose ring and dirty unkempt hair was appropriate professional attire?

I know that the US generally doesn’t do school uniforms, but why does it let teachers turn up to work dressed like they’re going out to score meth and a six pack?

Because sane and reasonable people have swallowed the lie that being intolerant is always a bad thing, and the people who have hostile agendas-whether that's political, ideological, or personal--have taken shameless advantage of this fact to push further and further while painting every criticism as intolerance.

I'll bet you a dollar and a donut that this guy's own school time was a miserable experience because he was an imsufferable little prick who thought he was being edgy and clever and cool when he mouthed off or trotted out some idiotic little "gotcha" aimed at his peers.

"just be nice" is the new "self-esteem"; also it shows the mushbrainedness of when K-8 teachers, superfluous administrators, and mombies collide (though I include the RW "your school's nekkid books made my son grow hair!" Parks and Rec characters among the mombies, since "pwning the magats" is a large part of what drives this circus)

and frankly the worst thing for an 8th-grader who just got beaten with the gay stick by your hormones is to have the whole school painted in rainbows and the teachers farting glitter at everyone and telling the "queer" kids to get on the round-the-year pride float (probably why this is all aimed at the "you don't have to be into the opposite sex to be Queer, or think that there's sex at all" team)

Yup my teachers growing up wore professional dress and also behaved like professionals. They commanded respect and with few exceptions they received it. And this was the 80s, so not that long ago.

I don't know when these circus freak teachers started invading education but it seems like it's everywhere now.

Honestly, there's the difference between countries. In the US, teacher's unions are stronger than you think to the point "I'd defer to the strength of the union instead of "correct politics."

Teachers' unions in the US go from that strong up to, in many cases, "I don't care if that teacher was caught molesting his entire class in Macy's window. You will keep him employed. Actually, you're also going to name him Teacher of the Year and talk about how stunning and/or brave he is as a non-gold star MAP managing to succeed in teaching. DO IT or we'll strike, the whole city will shut down, and all the parents will want your head for forcing them to lose their babysitter for the day so they can't go to work, or won't work but can't sit at home and drink wine all day watching talk shows."

No one wants to teach in public schools anymore in the US because they're failing miserably at even a basic education. So they hire fucktards like this. Dumbass doesn't even realize that he's shitting on himself in front of those kids. Not to mention, some of those kids likely have relatives, maybe even parents or siblings, who server or have served in the military. That's flat out saying that they're pos's and fools while simultaneously leaning on rights those people swore an oath to defend. Some people are too stupid for rights let alone teaching.

you wish. the schools of education have been subverted for a generation. this is seen as wholesome and a positive good in leftard cities and some of the republichad areas as well, because parents are STILL asleep at the switch
