I looked for the orignal post, but I guess it was deleted, either for transphobic skepticism or because it made the rounds on Twitter.

Anyway that sub is a hive of transhausen by proxy moms and progressive basket cases.

THE call from the FL school - parent is enraged that the school alerted her to her kid's new "identity."

The terror of letting your daughter travel outside of her affirmation bubble

Another mom terrified to stop helicoptering when school starts

Affirmed every queer cult degeneracy their son engaged in, but still it's not enough

Oh sweet graham crackers, that subreddit is depressing. Every post just affirms the child's narcissism as the most important thing in the world and makes the parent feel like shit for having a functioning brain.

How insane does the world have to get before people can just trust their own damn instincts again?

LoL @ that last post, where the affirming mother is being accused of 'wanting validation ' and 'codependency' for expecting respect from the trans adult child

Honestly, it did smack of codependency and a lot of resentment on her end. That doesn't mean her kid isn't a mentally ill shithead though.

Shitty parents who raised a spoiled brat ended up with a troon? I’m shocked.

It's a shame this is all so taboo to talk about, because there's a lot of information that could be gained, learning that could be done and advances that could be made in a situation like this.

With, what, less than a percentage of the population being Trans, and one family having three children that claim to be Trans, you've got the perfect study. Learn all about their schooling, their social life, their genetics, their home life, their diet... How long do they say they are Trans for? When did they start feeling that way? What do they feel that makes them think they are Trans?

Does it turn out it was just a social thing? Okay, that's something we can now document and study. Does it turn out they are all really suffering from body dysmorphia? That's even More interesting that it would all happen in that family. What is unique about this pairing of adults that made all their children have this happen? Can we isolate something about the genetics, the environment or their lifestyle that made this rare event occur three times in a row?... Was it just God and nature rolling snake eyes, or is there a link?

Imagine being the scientist who could come out and say: "Please be sure to fully boil cabbage for 2 minutes at least before serving to children under 8, as it can cause body dysmorphia if not done."

... You'd be cancelled, obviously.

It isn't that deep. These are just the same kids that would have been cutters a decade ago. There's just more of them because of the worlds online presence and that they are a "protected" group in the eyes of society, for now. With mental illness being up, mainly cluster B's, which was also bred larger because of the internet, and here you go.

Like I said, if it's just a social thing, that's something. It's one thing to cut your leg and have a little scar you think is cool and edgy, it's another thing to take a hormone that changes your growth. It'd be nice to be able to isolate the social pressures and indicators of something like that so we could lay out some understanding of what is and isn't "Genuine" body dysmorphia.

I don't think this a rare event, I don't believe it to be real. I think it's replacing one thing for another, and not so much about the physical act of how they are harming themselves. People in the fog can't see what they're in from the outside looking in like we can. You can show them exactly what they're going to do to their parts and it wouldn't matter. It's a mental illness, nothing more. How it manifests isn't even understood by these people. They dig their heels in because they are finally "accepted."

Sad and sick people glom onto things for acceptance. Never before have any of these "fringe groups" been so accepted, even if forcibly accepted.

I agree with you, there are most certainly factors involved, and I guess what I am saying is, they aren't any different than the factors that would give you a personality disorder, for example.

I say all this as my opinion.

Honestly, you're prolly right in that first sentence: "I don't believe it to be real".
Most stories on Reddit about how hard it is to be so brave are made up for upvotes... Which I would understand more if upvotes got you something, you know? Like, if you could save them up and hand them in for prizes or something, I'd get making up a story about how you're the only non-binary crippled black lesbian in your university STEM class and how all the white men stand around you and chant "Freak! Freak! Freak!" at the start of every class before the professor arrives and kicks you down the stairs and they all talk about STEM while you crawl back up to your wheelchair...

Hahaha yeah, it isn't like Chuckie Cheese where you can turn in 1200 tickets for a plastic spider.

Even if the story is real, the chances of these three people in the same household doing this in a real way is impossible. So, the manifestation is what isn't real, it's what they choose to glom onto, to fill whatever hole they have in their head, heart, or both. Since it's so cool these days, you know?

It's so cool they have shirts for it. I don't know if there's "I'm straight" shirts, but what I do know is that if there was a supposed genocide of straight people and all I wanted to do was fit in and be accepted, I probably wouldn't buy one.

I don't believe it to be real

This. We need to stop splitting hairs with this "some very rare few acktually have it". No. It's fake. It's always only ever been a pathology and now there's just something happening to the world to make more people have that pathology. The world's grown more insular, more narcissistic, more onanistic. Now there's more people trying to escape by being trans.

[–]alladd 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

We already know what causes it. Take one part narcissism, one part social awkwardness, and blend with pornography. Now you got a person who can't relate to other people wishing they had a completely different body and personality that others will love effortlessly. They pick the object of their attraction, because who wouldn't love them then?

The obvious fact that trans identification skyrocketed as a new generation grew up with computers and fast internet connections is too fucking obvious.

[–]NastyWetSmear 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'll grant you that there's a percentage of Trans people for whom that's true. There's also a percentage who are autogynephilic. There's also, however, a group that genuinely have a dysmorphia - the same as there are some people who wake up and find themselves convinced that their arm isn't their own arm, or that they are meant to be blind.

Whatever the case, it would be nice to be able to ID when these things happen, because I'm a socially awkward, cocky porn watching douche bag, but I love my own penis! He's the best! I call him: "The Penetratrix!"

"I feel like we did something wrong".... they know they did.

[–]UncleWillard56 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You did do something wrong - you failed as parents. Your job is to give them a safe childhood where they can learn, grow, and figure out who they are. Not to coddle them or give them whatever they want. They're not going to love you more if you just let them do whatever they want. In fact, they'll grow to hate you and lose all respect. I think trans is a delusion, but I think catering to that delusion and allowing your kids to permanently alter their bodies in pursuit of a fad is a crime. Get em to 18 then they can take responsibility for their own life and decisions. If you've done your job right, they'll have all the tools they need to do that and they'll still have you for advice.

A friend of mine has a daughter who was in hospital. She had to have what amounted to a life saving emergency operation. I'm not a medic, but basically a blood clot that was pretty much narrowly too close to travelling into her brain and causing a major haemorrhage and stroke.

She has only just returned to school, full on bald, only on half days because she has to come home and sleep at lunch time.

Who is getting all the attention lavished on them in school at the moment? All the teachers praising them for being so progressive, brave, etc. Yep that's right. The little runt of a kid that has come out as trans. Some boy following a trend, wearing a really dodgy as fuck looking dress to school and threatening to cut his knob off while calling himself Betsy trumps a girl who actually almost died. It's not like she even wants attention or even that much of a fuss. A teacher happy to see that she had made it would have been nice. Even some of her friends have gone full on woke and even told her to stop saying anything about her near stroke as it takes away from the narrative the teachers are getting them to push, putting strange pictures and shit all over the place.

My son went to the same school and we took him out last year after my nephew had a run in with the trans activists. We found that the school were not only promoting genital mutilation and how normal it is to be trans, but actively teaching students to hide it from parents. I referred to one of the teachers as a groomer which almost got the cops called on me.

In this world, you have to either force your kids to chop bits off of their bodies to fit in or you're in for a fight. But that's fine. I'll fight anybody who comes to my door with this tranny shit. You cannot tell me I'm being a gammon or it isn't real, what I see with my own eyes and hear with my own ears means I have no fucking sympathy for these fucking trannies. Not one inch. They can burn in hell for coming after kids for all I'm concerned. And you cannot liken it to the Catholic church. I was raised Catholic too and we were perfectly allowed to step away at any time just as I did. I didn't have an army of angry neurotic catholics threatening my career, I didn't have them at my front door waving fire around, I didn't have the full weight of the law and child services on my family's doorstep.

Piss off a tranny? Find out!
