A nursery has withdrawn a Gay Pride book which led a couple to withdraw their daughter from nursery – after receiving complaints from homosexual campaigners too.

Will and Maria Taylor, of Hull, East Yorkshire, pulled their four-year-old daughter from a pre-school nursery after they claim they were branded bigots for objecting to 'two images of men in leather bondage gear' in the pages of Grandad's Pride.

Andy Train, chair of Hull's LGBT+ Forum, slammed the depiction of the gay man 'stereotypical'.

He said: 'I was surprised to see this illustration. I think the illustrator of the book was given carte blanche. It's a bit stereotypical.

The book also featured a topless troonette with scars. It was wholly inappropriate for children, but it’s interesting that the gay organisation complained about the stereotypical representation and not the age inappropriate nature.

Lol, someone's been carefully not looking at the Kink Parades during Pride month. That would make it pretty obvious that it's a stereotype for a very good reason.

The problem is that too many people would say yes, sincerely and unironically.

Besides, the bigger question is how it ties to trans discourse. You're not "loving" anyone by transition. Maybe, if you go with the most generous claim, you can claim it's self-care, but that doesn't equal out to love in any real reason.
