TIL there's a SEGM organization - Society for Evidence Based Gender Medicine.

Kinda sad that there needs to be such a thing to challenge the heavily speculation-based gender medicine that has permeated the mainstream.

I was working in clinical research at the turn of the century and remember that evidence-based medicine was not universally accepted at the time (I worked for a staunch advocate of evidence). It rubbed a lot of the medical establishment up the wrong way. It’s trippy to think there was a time when the were actual academic arguments against collating evidence before cutting or drugging patients… oh
