It's why activists very deliberately started conflating sex and gender over the last twenty years - so young people would grow up thinking there is no difference and pushing for legal and medical equivalence of the words.

I'm surprised this hasn't changed. A female-only hospital might have trouble hiring enough female doctors, but would never run out of nurses or patients.

It's another thing AI systems might help with, though. As doctors are replaced by AI diagnostics, robot surgeons, and genetic vaccines, it will be easy to staff a female-only hospital, clinic, or medical practice.

I loved not being exposed to colds or flu for 3 years. I have my first cold in over 4 years right now and I forgot how much it sucks (and how wimpy I am when I get sick).
