Hmm out of ~1600 participants they had 1300 black or Latino and only 180 white.

So they sought out extremely low income people in urban areas, skewed it towards racial and economic demographics who are known to be far higher in prevalence of HIV the other demographics and don’t seem to control for these factors and then make a statement about all troons?

It’s late and I’m doing this on my phone, but this doesn’t look like a Particularly robust study to me.

So how does the HIV rate in troons compare to a matched non-Troon cohort? I bet, that matched against non-Troon homosexual prostitutes and IV drug users it would be similar numbers.

Yes, they basically picked demographics that have a high rate of HIV infection and concluded that they have high rates of HIV infection. It's like going to a lake and writing a paper about how you've discovered that lakes are full of water.

I'd be curious if there's a distinction between AGPs and HSTS?

I think the deciding factor will be the rates of sex work, unprotected anal sex with multiple men and IV drug use.

I’m going to stick my neck out and predict that it’ll be heavily skewed to HSTS simply because they’re already far more likely to be at risk of HIV.

Although AGP often get into sex work because they convince themselves their clients are straight men who really see them as women. In the USA there's a whole lot of gay and bi men larping as straight queuing up to fuck these guys, and AGP actually look like guys so that's more their type.
