Spoilt middle class minority kids will destroy their communities in the West unless their mothers give them the sandal everytime they see this kind of behaviour.

There’s a growing sentiment I have noticed amongst the younger South Asians (South East Asians too in fact), there’s a desire to get in on the race grift despite there being little evidence to support any kind of claim of discrimination against them (they top earnings and education, and are hardly ever imprisoned).

I did have a good article about it.

Basically rich white people just sit around bitching about poor white people all day so when Asians want to climb up the class ladder they copy that behaviour to try to fit in.

To get things in today's world just hate on the white man!

Yeah, it sucks that hungry people go to restaurants and keep other people employed by wanting to buy their food.

Yet he is in America and not India and he probably never thinks too hard about why that might be.

These ingrates always want the white man’s world without the white man in it.

White people feed the world. Look what happened in Zimbabwe when the Whites got driven out. Africa starves because mau mau and hottentot Neolithics drove out civilization.

As a Mexican myself, why would someone not order enchiladas? 🤨🤨🤨

I've met a few Americans that almost exclusively eat burgers and fries like a stereotype. Take them to a Mexican restaurant and they'll look at the menu about the same way you'd look at the Chinese language menu for a Chinese restaurant and skim over all the weird shit like "tacos" and "enchiladas" straight to the things they recognize like "steak" or "hamburger".

At least they are staying in their lane

Because they want that authentic Indian dining experience?

And that energy is ording what is on the fucking menu at a place that sells itself as an ethnic restaurant. This fucktard has the same energy as a limp dick at an orgy.

    [–]LyingSpirit472 5 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

But if the majority of the population order from ethnic restaurants, then they might give money to ethnic owners and help them succeed in life! Then how are they supposed to be professional victims?

I guess instead we could go with the "extremely picky eater" who refuses to eat anything besides chicken tendies, and figure out some reason why that is racist.

    [–]jet199 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Saying certain groups of people like chicken more than other meat has already been racist for at least 10 years.

    I've been in that conversation.

    [–]Alienhunter糞大名 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I've seen that. Picky black eaters are a thing too, but I'm talking more about the, I guess middle america mostly boomer+ concept of eating the blandest shit imaginable and refusing to eat anything even remotely spicy or for a lack of a better word "weird". Not limited to white people but it's mostly white people.

Tons of picky black eaters as well that won't leave their comfort zones but at the very least they generally can eat some spices.

Granted the same things exist in the UK and Australian as well. It's less a racial issue and more a rural issue, lack of exposure to foreign cuisine leads to people growing up "picky" and unwilling to leave their bubble. Everyone is like this to a certain extent. You're unlikely to find people outside of SEA that can stomach balut for example. But in the extreme situations you'll find great planes denizens that once they stray away from the McDonald's menu will find the menu of a texmex place to be indecipherable nonsense and utterly unable to order the chimichanga for fear that a jalepeno might be there.

    Yeah no.

Some people are super tasters who just literally have more tastebuds than others. Bitter foods taste like poison to them and things which seem bland to you are complex to them.

To try to make our this is some kind of moral choice where you just happen to turn out to be the superior party is just ego stroking.

    [–]Alienhunter糞大名 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not totally sold on the "super taster" idea but I do agree that it's not a moral choice. But in extreme situations it is basically a case of picky eating more than anything.

Things like a gene that makes coriander/cilantro taste like soap doesn’t help. I’m super sensitive to bitter tastes, making things like tonic water gag inducing, but also means I avoid certain vegetables because they taste really unpleasant to me (rocket/arugula is one example).

Food availability certainly has a part to play, but you can’t rule out other factors.

    [–]Easy_G 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I know a guy with the cilantro problem and it sounds like a nightmare to me as it's probably my most-used fresh herb in my own cooking. Bitter is something I also like in food or drinks, like very bitter beers or herbs like gentian root. Hell, I've tasted something treated with denatonium benzoate, supposedly the bitterest chemical compound known, and weirdly liked it.

Here's an idea: if you don't want us "appropriating" your culture, stop fucking selling it.

    [–]Alienhunter糞大名 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

These are mostly stupid teenagers well in their "this one thing about me is my defining feature phase" so you get the second or third generation teens who cling to this "ethnic" identity then get fucking pissed when some white person knows what bulgogi is because it throws off their groove.

Normal people, including those running the restaurants don't give a fuck because if you open an ethic restaurant in white suburbia and refuse to serve white people you'll go out of business faster than I can say "retarded".

Years back there was the great Kimono fiasco where a bunch of 2nd and 3rd or beyond Filipino/Chinese/Generic Asian ancestry kids decided to get all offended on behalf of the Japanese because some white people decided to adopt the Kimono as part of some fashion exhibit, when it got round to the Japanese media the general reaction was "the westerners like our culture? Great! Let's sell them more shit!" And they encouraged the fuck out of it, much to the annoyance of the race baiters.

Don't believe (and react to) everything you read on the Internet.

The divide and conquer scumbags win if you react.

They lose, if you keep your cool.

I act white everywhere I go just to piss off the nigras and darkies.

    [–]Easy_G 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Damn I must be a raging racist because I almost exclusively cook Indian foods at home from a variety of regions (which notably are from different ethnic groups as India is not a homogeneous mass) as a white man.

Or maybe I just fucking love Indian food, and dipshits who want to make food preferences political can fuck off.

    [–]Node 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You would only be racist if you based your thoughts, opinions, or behaviors on the fact that different races have different qualities, characteristics, and qualities. If it's just about the taste or qualities of a food, then no.

    [–]bucetao6969Ace Spectrum 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ok but white people are not allowed to stereotype black people right?

    [–]IkeConn 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm glad everyone is jealous of my white skin and blue eyes. I flaunt my whiteness everywhere I go.
