I see these people making these sorts of arguments (forgive me, I only made it to “you can’t have a baby” before I had to turn off the video as I was vomiting so hard I couldn’t take any more) and I think to myself they either engage in “arguments” with halfwits or they just make strawmen up for the benefit of their coreligionists and prospective cult members.

The you’re a woman if you can have a baby is the sort of argument I’d expect from a not especially bright teenager or a retarded adult not someone who is in anyway equipped to have that discussion.

The definition of woman is “adult human female”, and female is simply “the sex that typically produces the large gamete”. That covers all eventualities, even the women who never or no longer produce ova for natural, artificial or congenital reasons.

I’ve started to suspect that the reason the postmodernists went after the concept of norms and normal, was because if you eliminate the idea that there is a “normal x” then you can essentially argue that y is x, a is x, d is x and elephant is x and that’s what seems to be happening now.

Sure, if you’re an atypical x, then it might not feel great that there’s a normal x that you don’t conform to, but life’s not fair, suck it up buttercup. We mustn’t let our desire to be kind be our downfall, reality is cruel and telling lies about it doesn’t actually change that.

We are seeing it across the gamut of gender studies, disability studies, critical race studies, etc. the repudiation of norms as a way to make the atypical feel better.

I mean I’ve even seen nonsense like saying a city in Northern England was majority non-white in Roman times because some Roman soldiers from North Africa were garrisoned there as if that had any bearing on modern day inhabitants of the city. (Not to mention that this is unironically celebrating the subjugation of the indigenous Britons by an imperialist colonial power who took slaves, stole goods and imposed their religion by people who are quick to point the finger for those things happening anywhere else).
