No, 3rd Wave helped to usher in the TRA madness. They insisted on grouping all oppressed classes together (i.e. 'Intersectional Feminism') under one umbrella. So you can thank them for all the tranny degeneracy going on today.

If there is a 4th Wave, then IMO it's the women who understand MtF trannies and gender ideology are the primary threat to the safety and overall well-being of women. This group seems to be a combination of conservative women and liberal 3rd Wave defectors.

There's definitely a line from blank slate feminism (the idea that differences between men and women are solely driven by socialization) to transactivism.

It's pretty retarded. I've had women claim that they are literally identical to men before and I just laughed and asked them if they could impregnate someone?

I'm not in favor of needlessly discriminating against women. The idea that all women ever are ill suited to whatever job because they are women is stupid. But the same idea that women are ill suited to be, idk, some male dominated job, let's say exterminator.

Women who are not afraid of bugs and don't mind getting dirty and what is necessary to get it done, they're gonna be fine, men that can't stand the sight of a bug are gonna be shit at it. No reason to even bother "asking" what someone's sex is for such a job, utterly irrelevant. But I bet you'll find more male candidates unphased at the idea of killing gross icky bugs than female candidates.

The real question is who cares if there's a hiring discrepancy? So long as you don't bother to do stupid shit like deny women who actually want to be an exterminator for some reason, why care if there's a massive statistical sexual discrepancy in hiring? As long as people are free to choose their own jobs why does it matter if things are equal?

Feminism in the West ended with 2nd wave. Now it's just a bunch of lunatics.

Only worthwhile feminism left is in places like Iran.

2nd wave is making a bit of a comeback, with the older and wiser feminists leading the TERF uprising, realising that victimhood-as-currency was a mistake, especially when anyone with enough narcissism could opt into the most sacred victim class.

TERFs have impressed me, to be honest, and I've listened to a whole lot of 'gender wars' debate (mostly UK focused). They've seen cancel culture up close, they've learned how toxic identity politics can be, they're making real sacrifices to fight for free speech, reality, and a much more reasonable form of feminism. They're capable of humor, too, something you'd never get from third-wave perpetually-offended SJWs.

While their movement is fairly small, I get the impression that they're doing a better job at resisting wokeness than 'the right', as it's so much harder to write off a group of middle-aged feminists as 'hateful' than a group of angry men.

What does wind me up though, is seeing some TERFs reject gender identity ideology but still clinging to other aspects of wokeness (particularly around race), ignoring the fact that the exact same tactics of toxic woke activism is at the core of both - victimhood-as-currency, redefining language, treating criticism as hate, normalising violent activism, etc.

That isn't what the waves are.

1st wave was distinctly about the right to vote.

2nd wave was distinctly about equal rights for women in general. 2nd wave feminists actually fought for the right to get female only bathrooms in public places. This is 1 of many reasons why "TERFs" fight with MtFs. This is also the wave where "gender" was introduced as a concept as a way to describe the way women were being held subservient to men. That women being 2nd class citizens was a social construct and so society could just undo that injustice.

3rd wave was "intersectionality". This really started up the whole grievance culture were people were competing over how oppressed they were.

4th wave is the Tumblr / pink news absolute nonsense.

I'm not even sure the waves are real. Women wanting to vote, fair enough of course they want a say in how things are run. Men allowing it? Fucking retarded dumbasses why the fuck would you expand suffrage to let more people in and dilute your own vote. They deserved to lose that exclusivity.

But "feminism" has always been adjacent to "crazy". Some women just get this real men hating streak going on. Frankly I think it's basically a hate movement myself. Political lesbianism and all that. Women who for whatever reason really hate men, not normal sexist shit where things they do annoy you, that's all fine, but the crazy ones, we can live in a world without men and all that. Insane. And they've always been there on the fringes.

2nd wave was pretty good. Instead of basic rights they claimed that what is between your legs does not define you. And that's true. That's why some women can have "masculine" interests and some men be feminine. Nothing wrong with that. That's a spectrum of PERSONALITY. If the wise parts of 2nd wave feminism had been adopted and they stopped there, we would be in a much better situation now. They basically had the opposite arguments as the TRAs (gender identity alone defines you), which is why they are standing up to it.
