There's no consistency with their ideology.

"Gender" is a completely different thing than sex, except when you try to classify people based on their sex.

"Trans" isn't a mental illness but they're in severe mental distress and need "life-saving healthcare" or they'll kill themselves.

Said life-saving (cosmetic) healthcare that attempts (and fails) to alter their body to physically mimic a supposed "social construct."

That is completely unfair.

Their ideology has complete consistency, as long as you remember they don't give a shit about the group's rights and their real ideology is "I, personally, always get my way forever and ever."

In theory making it easier for kids to get counseling sounds like a good thing, but yeah, I think you're right to be suspicious about the intent here.

It’s the permission for the medical professionals to keep it secret from parents that raises my suspicions. It seems that the progressive left in the US is going out of their way to take responsibility for children away from parents and either hand it to NGOs or straight up to groomer psychologists and social workers. It’s very strange to my eyes and even as someone on the left myself, I just don’t understand why they’re doing it - unless they’re actually trying to undermine the family, which is pure evil.

Um, part of the law and Hippocratic Oath is that unless the patient actively confesses to committing a crime, medical professionals are SUPPOSED to keep things said in therapy secret. That's basically the issue going on in the debate of pedophiles and "does merely saying you have an attraction to children in itself count as committing a crime when you're seeking therapy?"

As long as there's no smoking gun proof of the psychologist actively brainwashing the child into thinking they're trans, they're doing what they're supposed to.

You answered your own question. It's all about control. Healthy sane people are not easy to control. Trust me on that, I know first hand.

unless they’re actually trying to undermine the family

I don't think undermining the family is their ultimate goal. It's just collateral damage.

Their real objective is trying to get the trans ideology into as many places as possible, and if parents keep getting in the way, then that's why they're going after them.

They don't care about their contradictions. They just want to get all up in your child's guts and throw them away when they're no longer cute and young enough. This is the end game of disposable consumer culture.

Saw this discussed on the Disaffected podcast and it piqued my curiosity. Is this sort of bill being pushed in other states?
