I don’t think that shows Google has an opinion on the issue of a trans genocide, just that it’s scraped Wikipedia. Wikipedia is just defining a term that is used by academics, it quite clearly says that “Transgender Genocide is a term used by scholars”.

And, finally, there are lots of terms used by scholars that are dubious or contentious. Part of being an academic is doing shit like that.

I hate being an apologist for google, wiki or scholars, but there’s nothing wrong with that as it is, as far as I can see from the pic you linked.

I bet if you googled Sasquatch you’d get a similar definition….doesn’t mean google or wiki believes in the Sasquatch.

    It is, the speaker is at best fractionally responsible. More often, they are just vile people. Stochastic terrorism is meant to blame famous people for things that nobodies did.

    I think it's a bigger trend in the US, to treat each serial killing or public shooting as some deep insight into the national psyche--a folio of their childhood drawings investigated in detail, acting as though Langley or Arlington couldn't get their hands on sociopath and had to recruit assassins, basically treating each death as an oracle: MAYBE they mention the victims at the end of the podcast: and when the murder doesn't match either party's narratives they just dump it, like Nashville

    Japan's PM was shot in the kidneys by someone obsessed with the Moonies using a weapon straight out of Skyrim, and the response was more "lol"

    and I'm not dunking on the podcasters or whatever, you search for something called "Murderers on Ice" you're gonna get what they promise; nor do I really think these shitheads' actions are really driven by media "glorification"--sure, they might even cite the other shitheads, but every other country has recorded shitheads like this

    I'm talking about the whole "were they born by c-section? how does their preschool teacher remember them? were they left-handed? were they adopted? did they have sleepovers? were they on Risperdal? were they BULLIED by the JOCKS?!" hand-flapping that happens after each and every damn incident

    honestly I'd be more impressed if the Pubs ever talked about mental health or the Dems mentioned semiautos at any time other than 1-3 days after a shooting, because at least that'd show some principle--fine, everyone GO ahead and "politicize" it, we all wanna see some real fighting in the legislatures, lay the cards down instead of just mincing around each other, you talk tough about being victims of genocide or that the country's about to plunge into military dictatorship, maybe act like it for once in three decades you spayed fucks
