Vice News seems to have forgotten that it was present. Team Pink (the MTF team) got to 7-0 in the final and then were told to stop running the score up, and Team Black (the FTM team) scored a single goal which was clearly off-side, but was allowed so that they didn’t get blown out.

The most telling thing is the self report by the Team Black player who, upon being lightly checked, got ktfo, concussed and stretchered off.

That Team Black player knocked into the boards has recovered. In a recent social media post, #91 reported, “I am okay, [though] I was diagnosed with a concussion and muscle strains in my left neck, shoulder, and back.”

Strangely, though, the player then went on to provide an apparently fictionalized account of the accident. While the video plainly shows #91 being struck by a Team Pink player, the victim reports that, “I was playing the puck, and I took a very odd fall into the boards.” There’s no mention of any opposition player—though the post also notes, cryptically, that this part of the story is “sensitive.” Reading this self-blaming narrative reminded me of those stories about women in troubled relationships who tell friends they got their black eye from walking into a door.

One is left to wonder if the “sensitive” nature of this tale helps explain why details about the tournament went unreported, notwithstanding all the NHL and media hype that came before the puck dropped. Ignoring or hiding the importance of biological sex may align with the publicity needs of NHL executives and the ideological demands of trans activists. But it does a grim disservice to every female hockey fan who skates up to play.

Seems that not only did the match reveal the uncomfortable reality of sports, the powers that be and the participants themselves are desperate to keep it all under wraps for the sake of The Message

Reading this article made me think how this 'game' served as a microcosm for gender ideology as a whole and its impact on its cult members. Everything about this game was carefully narrated and manufactured to serve The Message. It wasn't a real competitive NHL game. Everything was fixed ("Don't run up the score!"), goalposts were shifted ("Everyone's a winner!'), legitimate concerns suppressed.

One of the players breaks down completely under the stress of watching her own friend get brutalized and having to go along with it and pretend it's inclusive and wonderful, and the entire group works to rein her back in with love-bombing.

I’m surprised shit-libs haven’t used this match as an opportunity to pretend that “women can totally kick men’s asses in sports because Team Pink are women and Team Black are men!” I’m surprised they’re not using this outcome as an attempt to justify ending sex-segregated sports.

I think it's because deep down liberals don't believe their own BS when it comes to trans issues.I saw a top rated comment on reddit where this person literally stated that the surgical vagina a trans woman gets is better than a biological one.Regardless of whether or not this person was just saying it to kiss trans ass,way to shit on real women my guy.

I think we have got used to the kinds of people featured on LibsofTikTok and forget that that side has got some people with decent intelligence and strategic thinking.

They clearly knew enough to nix the TV broadcast and coverage, rein in the FTM team who were running wild scoring and then have the victim of the “totally a woman” brute try to gaslight the world so that they had a tweet to point to should it ever be raised.

First, it's insane not to recognize that trans women are going to dominate physically over trans men. Why they didn't just segregate it by gender (fuck non-binary, that's not a thing); trans women playing other trans women, etc. That would make more sense. There's no open tournaments for coed hockey are there?

Second, if you have to tell a team to ease up in a competition just to make it look fair, go fuck yourself. That's not a sport, it's entertainment. It's just like professional wrestling then.

I see nothing wrong with trans leagues. Let trans women compete against each other. I'm not going to watch it, but hell, it'll keep them out of women's leagues.

Fuck the NHL with it's stupid "trans women are women" answer. It's not an answer at all. If you can't be honest with yourself about biology in a sport? You have no business being in charge. That person should be fired.

Fairly certain Adult amateur ice hockey is coed because of the lack of women interested in playing, but it’s also no-checking and where there are enough women to form a league they have a women-only league.

No-checking makes a huge difference for safety, but obviously won’t eliminate the other advantages (height, speed, strength etc). As soon as you add checking in it becomes very dangerous for women.

A friend of mine met his wife playing ice hockey in Hawaii.

I played a little hockey on a men's team because the policy was for the local men's teams to take in interested women with the hope that we could one day form a women's league if they retained enough of us. It pretty much sucked though. I couldn't really play because I just wasn't willing to risk an injury as the guys were checking each other. There was a whole thing about it one night after I left as they shouldn't have been checking with a woman playing.

And while I appreciate that, I also felt it wasn't fair on the guys to not be able to play properly and constantly having to pull themselves back and not fully enjoy their play. I get a lot mentally from my sports and I don't want anyone to take mine from me and I don't want to take someone else's away from them. So I just concluded hockey wasn't for me and left the guys to properly enjoy their games. It's easier to see how transwomen have the potential to destroy women's sports but I think that biological females in men's sports can destroy men's too. Because most men don't actually want to risk seriously hurting a woman and will pull back out of caution and then not get the same pleasure and release from their sports. There is a place for mixed games like tag rugby/mixed tennis etc but only when it's what the players signed up for because mixed versions of sports are very different from single sex. For a lot of people, the joy comes from being really able to throw themselves into physical activities and this shit will ruin it for everyone, not just women.
