The governing body when handing down the new guidelines said it's 'essential that community sport leaders are committed to 'inclusion'.

The decision by Sport New Zealand comes after Kiwi weightlifter Laurel Hubbard became the first transgender athlete to compete at Tokyo's Olympic Games last year.

As part of that SportNewZealand urges community sports groups to 'show that commitment by using preferred pronouns of transgender competitors and even appointing inclusion officers.

"Inclusion"Why is that always the buzzword with these people?I swear inclusiveness has become their religion.

I think it depends. “Inclusion” used to be more “we’ll do our best to include you…but you’re not going to be able to go on the rollercoaster Professor Hawking, but we have other things for you to do” and it’s become “If Professor Hawking can’t go on the rollercoaster, no one should go on the rollercoaster!”.

Indeed like my eyesight is bad so I shouldn't be a pilot. It's fair to exclude me from that haha. Same with other things. So long as you know I'm being treated as a person I don't exactly object to being excluded especially when there are valid reasons for it you know?

That's just unfair.

It's gone past that and gone screaming to "Professor Hawking doesn't even want to go on the rollercoaster? Then no one should go on the rollercoaster if it doesn't include Professor Hawking, even if there's nothing stopping him from doing so except his own not wanting to do it!"
