Anyone else worried about South Park after Matt and Trey?

I'm sure a lot of you saw what's happening with GTA 6 and how it's going to go woke.I saw a meme where South Park is legit the only show that hasn't been infected by the woke cancer.Thankfully though,Matt, and Trey are still in charge of the show,and as someone that got back into the show i can safely say that they themselves haven't gone "woke"....yet.(in fact,they took a stab at the whole trans kids and surgery in a recent special.)People's main criticism is how they're "boomers"now cause they relate to Randy more than the main 4.I can safely tell you that as of right now,it's possible the show can end in 2027,and i don't know how bad things will get by that point.Thankfully though,i've talk to some fans(some of who are far from right wing)and they wouldn't watch if the show continues after them because even if new writers don't go full woke,the show wont be the same.

There is no South Park without Matt and Trey. They do like 80% of the voices. They are South Park.

And they aren't boomers; they're firmly Gen X. Free speech absolutism was hardcore ingrained into Gen X youth culture and most of us have carried it proudly into adulthood. So I don't think you have to worry about Trey and Matt ever going woke. And I don't think you have to worry about a South Park without them. Though, you probably do have to worry about South Park ending soon since much of Gen X is starting to head into retirement and Matt and Trey have got to be getting tired of doing this for 25 straight years.

I'm not worried about southpark. Matt and Trey will likely be the ones doing it all the way until the end. And honestly I don't know the guys personally but based off their work over the last nearly 2 decades that iv been watching south park I can confidently say that they are the last people to let their show go down the woke road. GTA is a mainstream game franchise and lets be real its a flagship title for Rockstar. It was inevitable. And I don't wanna sound like a dick but I genuinely don't care about gta as a franchise that much. The only value it has for me is how awesome it can be modded.

Not only that, but...if "you can play as a woman" is somehow what it takes for "wokeness", that's...not exactly that big a problem.

If the person wanted to talk about how they edited GTA Online to take out offensive descriptions about trans people, maybe, but this ain't it chief.

i bet you a majority of the characters in GTA online both rockstar and FiveM servers are dudes playing with female characters so they can stare at their asses.

Well, GTA online doesn't have female characters as much anyway, but if so in the new one, it will under the all-encompassing "I have to look at some random ass all game, I want it to be a good-looking ass" quality.

The thing is that's not people's main criticism.There were outlets that were saying that they'll cut back on the racist and bigoted jokes made in the past games.To all of people this sounds like the only jokes that they'll tell are"White man bad",probably a pro trans level,and bunch of other woke shit.

If that happens, it'll be clear later on (and GTA's never had any sacred cows; they'd have some people joke about woke targets as much as woke people.) Saying some jokes SHOULD be taken out does not mean they'll be replaced with "White Man Bad" in any other way than GTA normally would.

Exactly. There's a lot of problems with wokeness, but "any media that includes a woman or minority as the lead" is NOT the problem.

To complain about simply being able to play as a woman or minority (especially since GTA V was Los Santos and did allow you to play as a black person, just like GTA: Los Santos in the original) is saying the Woke have a point...and the only way to beat the Woke is to make it clear they are paranoid crackpots fighting invisible Klan members and that real people are not as hateful as they claim.

    If you're referring to the whole trump thing, even they themselves admit that it wasn't the best season for them, and they were only happy he lost cause they were able to bring back Mr Garrison.

    Nah, I'm not "worried" about an adult cartoon.

    If it happens, it is what it is, enjoy it for what they gave you.

    Although, I don't see them going woke.

    South Park is probably my favorite show of all time, I don't see how it couldn't be. But, everything ends.

    While i wouldn't say it's as big as it used to be,there's still quite a lot of fans still around.In a week,there's going to be a big concert celebrating the 25th anniversary with Trey and Matt being there.
