Man that app was so fucking retarded! I had to use it once and I nearly lost my shit right there in the airport.

Ridiculous, repetitive and pointless questions. The only person who looked at the app was the check in attendant (Down in Vegas) who just glanced at the QR code, nothing scanned, she just glanced. It could have been a pic of any QR code, she wouldn't have cared less.

When I got back to Toronto we had to wait on the plane at the gate for ~45 min for customs to clear the plane to disembark at which point they started letting 50 people off at a time. Thank god I was at the front of the plane...

Why the hold you ask? Customs was so backed up there was a 2 hour + wait (thats after waiting on the plane for 45 min) to get though. They literally had no room left in the line ups (Well over 1 thousand people in line, how it didn't violate the fire code I don't know...) so there solution was holding people on the planes....

After the ordeal of getting though the line I had to reenter the same information from the arriveCan app into a computer they had at customs where I then received a print out. Then it's back into another line to speak with a customs agent.

Now comes the real shit kicker! NO ONE CHECKED ANYTHING! I never even talked to a customs agent. We got to the front of the 2nd line and someone just checked marked the paper and that was it. Less then a second and he was onto the people behind us. "Thank you, Welcome to Canada. NEXT!"

The biggest shit show I have ever seen in my life! There is no way anyone made a connecting flight that night. Total shit show. I was quite vocal in line, asking the rhetorical question "if Trudeau or any other PM had to go though this shit?"
