It's the spam that gets to me. It's annoying to have to click through Cloudflare to verify, but if it helps keep the site afloat, I'll just deal with it.

But the obnoxious amount of spam is the worst. I spend more time reporting it than actually browsing the site or reading posts anymore. That's going to kill our growth more than anything, no one new will want to try out a site infested with spam bots.

The admins are removing spam, I can see that in modlogs, but the fact they can't ban or shadowban the accounts is frustrating.

The spam is a GOOD thing. They wouldn't be spamming if they didn't think Saidit was worth it.

Spam is a mild annoyance. Apartments in Mumbai? Who cares? The paid posters trying to wreck the site are the real threat.

Nah, when you've got something good the world wants a piece of it. Spammers don't spend time on worthless websites.
