The canary expired so even if I posted it, I'm not sure it means anything anymore, because as originally intended the one-time switch has been permanently flipped, so to speak.

But the site hasn't been compromised any more than what you can see in the comments and posts here every day. The compromising is occurring at the user post and comment level, not at the admin level, which saidit has been careful to avoid.

The setup was that he makes a new post every month to confirm the site hasn't been compromised. At one point, he stopped posting it consistently. The specification was that if it doesn't get updated in a few months, we should assume the website to be compromised. A new post that's way overdue doesn't address the concern to begin with.
