I'd also say this - making moral judgements about humor content, and then attempting to suppress it for violations of your code is exactly what Reddit does. See the migration of s/TumblrInAction. Frankly this seems awfully hypocritical of a judgement for someone who claims to support free speech and internet. Have you ever seen South Park or Dave Chappelle, the best comedy always offends someone

He's not calling for censorship, just saying that your spam posts are getting old. People have mentioned the block button but I think the difference is you actually post good stuff, instead of the trolls who it's easy to block without missing out on anything.

I don't like a bunch of shit people post, usually stuff about Jews, "niggers" or some other kind of identity-based hate manifesto, which I think is far more distasteful than anything I post. Yet I'm not starting Reddit style brigades about it like u/LarrySwinger2 , calling people out by name and trying to start a lynch mob because I think it's trashy and stupid, even though I'd have to block most of the site to avoid seeing it.

Some people clearly are enjoying having me post news that is just meant to laugh at rather than being serious, and I don't see anyone else being asked to self-censor to avoid offending people on this site, so I'm not quite sure why it is I should consider censoring myself when a few people don't appreciate some of my posts. I don't think the rest of Saidit would do the same for me.

I honestly like both you and Larry, and don't feel good about it bothering you guys this much, but I also feel like its pretty unfair and unreasonable of you guys are to ask me to self-censor and meet some standard other users are not being held to. Especially on a free-speech oriented site brimming with hate speech when I am just posting (admittedly low-brow) humor from newszines

Because people want you to be above what they feel some of your posts amount to. You don't hear many complaints about the hate speech because they don't think those users are capable of better. There is a lot of paranoia about regular users here because of the shills and forum sliding attempts. I admit that I try to connect the dots, too.

Agreed.
But we also know you can do better.
I don't think they are capable of better. You can lead by better example.
Don't censor yourself.
Moderate yourself better.

This was never a free-speech site. Ask M7D3.
It has always been for free-thinking and truth-seeking.
