Was this some sort of DNS hack? I kept getting redirected to reddit

Apparently one of the owners set it up to redirect to the reddit sub when this site is down.

makes sense, thanks!

was the outage caused by DoS attack, or just forgot to pay bill (I can't figure out whether they are joking in the discussion above)?

there've been a lot of outages of alt-sites recently over course of a few weeks (way longer for snew). saidit, conspiracies.win, snew.notabug .

Today i noticed the privacy twitter client seems to have been hit by hackers: nitter.cc , nitter.net both very kaputt

one can luckily still find many functioning instances, eg nitter.pussthecat.org

https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/Instances

i'd guess there's some sort of campaign (against Alt) going on.

The first outage was because of 'unpaid' bills or something similar. Mag7 explained it further in a post a few days later. I haven't been on here in a while and wasn't aware that saidit was down again. I have my own suspicions and some reddit threads let me deeper into the rabbit hole.
