What I don't understand is you literally started this board as an anti-censorship board and you've now banned a huge chunk of your userbase with no real proof of why. The pyramid of debate died as soon as the reddit driftwood came and you know it. This has fucking nothing to do with IP2.

While I do believe you, this sets a really shitty precedent for the future and makes me lose faith in this board and you personally. If one pissed off streamer from fucking IP2 can get an entire board shoah'd, I can't wait to see what's next.

Here's the list of links that violated our server companies acceptable use policy: https://i.imgur.com/a5IxIEc.png

You can see the truth, or you can falsely blame me for what's happening because you're mad. Up to you

I literally said I believe you. I asked for proof and I've gotten a saidit post from what I can tell. Where's the formal complaint from the provider?

[–]magnora7[S] 11 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

Well I don't want to share it publicly because that just gives another attacker a blueprint for how to mess up this site, so that's not a very smart thing to do from an operational security standpoint.

[–]RuckFeddit 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

I highly doubt they drew a map of your network on the document. Even if they did, you can black it out or put something on it. You could at least give us the complaint.

Seeing as you switched providers multiple times, you could even show us an old complaint from a no longer relevant provider.

[–]magnora7[S] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

I already gave you the complaint. It was breaking their acceptable use policy because of the links in the image I sent earlier.

The complaint to YOU from YOUR PROVIDER. Are we respecting the pyramid of discussion now by playing semantics? you knew what I was asking for originally now you don't anymore.

That's still risky if he misses something.

[–]RuckFeddit 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Are we children? can we not parse a document? it's risky to get in your car every day.

[–]SaidOverRed 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

That's exactly the risk. Others could parse it and find something he missed and should not have exposed.

Lol the fact that this
https://saidit.net/s/ice_poseidon2/comments/58ab/acab_all_criminals_are_black
is part of the complaint just means that this site is dead.

[–]Moister 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

We are living in a world where you can celebrate the beating or murder of white “supremacists” on sites like reddit and Twitter with no censorship but applause and cheers, yet a post saying all criminals are black can contribute to shutting down an entire community. All cops are bastards is just fine too, hating on an entire group of people but yeah, that’s just fine I guess in the fucked up world we are living in. RIP SAIDIT

[–]Jesus 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I was told on reddit that white people should be killed. Certainly, this person was not banned. There is plenty of hate against caucasians over there and over on Voat its against muslims, Blacks and Jews but mostly muslims. Here at least we can try to push the pyramid of debate unto others. It provides us with some sense of logical thinking to adhere to.

[–]Jesus-Christ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Yea, I mean the last time I checked that site there was literally a video of a white chick being slammed into the ground that was on the front page. The video was too short to know what the context was but because of this BLM bullshit it obviously means to them some sort of justice in their fucked up minds.

[–]Jesus 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Got a link?

[–]Jesus-Christ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'll try and find it, it was a chick being pulled out of a car by a black dude but it had zero context. It was literally just posted to say, "Hey look at this chick being pulled outta the car by a black dude! Justice!"

[–]Jesus 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Zero context, like nearly every video these days.

[–]happysmash27 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

SaidIt isn't dead yet! But perhaps we should look to moving towards something more decentralised.

Yes, they're a bit more strict.

    [–]SaidOverRed 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Are you worried that with ip2 gone, they'll just come after the whole thing. "Hate speech" can be anything SJW's want it to be. Remember that ted talk screeching about how 'asking where you are from' is racist?

    [–]Jesus 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yup, I hate licorice! Hate speech is just ajother word to set a precedent to censor criticism. Of course, threatening someone with violence or terror is altogether different. I would not mind if a sever company had this rule clearly detailed but hate speech is so broad that it becomes just another avenue for censorship down the road.
