How many emails announcing stuff like this from you clicked away in the last six months from paypal, e.g.? Everytime you dismiss something like this without actually reading it AND agreeing to it, you're in fact losing the problem more and more out of your focus and they more and more win the war for your attention span and it shortens at most times as a consequence of this behaviour.

If you don't agree, you gotta invest even more time just to find a suitable alternative for their service and i'm quite sure they already have this fact in every one of their equations.

Why does it have to be this complex almost all the times ? Because they made a business model out of fucking with your head, because they know you don't have the time OR energy to actually read into all their tricks and bs even if you seriously want to.

Everyone of these emails can be a clock ticking against you.

Some sort of this model also works for online gambling, -gaming and most "usable" apps on both big app stores in existence.

They constantly try to whore for your attention and they've become really good at automatizing it.

Even if you're fine-tuning all your devices you're actually fighting an uphill war, because you just can't automatize yourself this far without giving them what they actually want: Your metadata so they can calculate even better how to get into your head even better.
