That's actually a relevant part of them "being" scientific. Doubting them...

Most scientists seemingly sadly forgot, though.

For the last two and a half years there has been a lot of trash science.

Longer, i suppose, from what i read. About 20 years now. At least, in fields, i'm into.

      I recreationally reread this one...

Yeah, LOTS of trash for many years but I meant especially during CV.

When people working in the sciences fight for tenure by appeasing the narrative and get government or sponsored funding to keep them working in fields such as climate change or dark matter, there's gonna be a lot of trash science.

Don't know much about physics. Are you suggesting there's no such thing as dark matter?

No, I am not suggesting that dark matter doesn't exist. Have you ever read 'The stars like dust' by Isaac Asimov? Dark matter, space dust, it's all worthy of scientific exploration and study.

What I was trying to say is that in general, predictive and theoretical sciences are easily used to indefinitely seek funding and career progression so long as it meets the approved narrative.

I jest at the term 'trash sciences' because they don't generally work in people's benefit in the present day beyond spectacle. We do not conduct long range space travel, nor do we permanently reside outside of our planet or have strong capabilities to utilise nearby spacial bodies or energy, so dark matter is a research only field with no short term practical use. My main point was that climate sciences are bullshit.

So you could say that frequenting religious sites makes you vulnerable to abuse.

Most churches just use Facebook....or are they not talking about real churches or religion, but talking about corporate-mega-churches.
