Star Trek: Discovery was in the clip. The show has a mushroom based form of faster than light travel with a giant tardigrade navigator. If that's not weird enough, this happens 10 years before James T. Kirk in TOS but of course, nobody ever mentions the ftl mushroom drive in the future.

Star Trek Discovery is a complete abomination.

That tardigrade concept was stolen from an indie game.

That's the same game.

He's right, but mispronounced the word "wrath" three times which was a shame.

80% of the words are mispronounced, as he's apparently decided to save money by subscribing to an off-brand accent.

Technically, not Standard American English, but more generally the English needing the qualifier known as British English. They're not alone, as there are several regions of the US that speak a corrupted variant of English too. Yankee English and Southern English are two prominent examples.

"The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary."

True, but I'm just talking about the current default standard. In past times, British English was English.

There are more kinds of English out there than anyone can imagine. Americans thinking their English is "default" or "standard" just shows everyone how humiliatingly untraveled zimselves are.

No difference to people at the BBC or Guardian thinking they speak proper English when actually they speak a class based accent.

The BBC covered for pedophiles. Defund the BBC.

The term Standard American English customarily refers to a variety of the English language that's generally used in professional communication in the United States and by airline pilots around the world.

Would you want your pilot speaking corrupt English to controllers and other pilots? Or controllers speaking corrupt English to your pilot?

Needs more "takin the active and rollin we go, gangway y'all".

This one started playing as I began to type.

I can tell you don't listen to airliner flight data recordings. I can assure you this is already the case.

If you ever make it down to this weirdoville, we should hang out and overindulge in illegal drugs. Or maybe just stick to legal drugs like pot and shrooms.
