It's kind of funny, but it also seems to lead people down that rabbit hole where they pop back up, covered in rabbit shit, saying that Trump is mecha-hitler with a thousand, prehensile robo-penises programed only to grab people by the pussy, his bluetooth constantly taking over people's airpods to pump out hatred for minorities and download classified documents.

I scrolled a long way and I think that thread is worse than you say. No-one is explicit about the terrible things that Trump is going to do in his second term. Sure, he didn't do them in his first term, but it is shaping up that he will do things too terrible to mention. Not just too terrible to mention, so far beyond too terrible to mention that nobody even dare notice that we are maintaining strict silence about horrors too terrible for the mind of man.

I guess that's an aspect of conspiracy thinking and brainwashing - the more vague the threat, the less you have to justify.

"If Trump wins, he's going to ruin America!"
"How?"
"Just... You know, like he was doing before!"

"Once the Jews control everything, we're done for!"
"Why?"
"Because... They... They like to own everything!"

"If they put up those 5G towers, they'll give us all cancer!"
"How would that help?"
"Well, once we all have cancer... It'll... Kill us all?"

The less specific the outcome, the less you have to detail your fear and think about the process and the end result, which always makes the fear itself start to feel less real when you start to see how many moving parts there are to it.
