Most memorable for me, in the 80s I was a lifeguard and the female lifeguards didn't wear makeup at work, but when we'd go out, OMG they looked like circus clown floozies.

It really is amazing how people over do it. Less is more. Considering how many beauty shows there are on YouTube you'd think folks could learn better. It's also expensive and some use what you've got, even if it's the wrong colour paint. I dunno. Eye of the beholder I guess.
