They're way too young. There should be some kind of age verification for this kind of stuff — and, really, selling pornography should be illegal, because it's the same thing as prostitution.

Also, the pornhub ban only applied to pornhub and not to all the 20+ website owned by Mindgeek (the organisation who own pornhub). These video you mentionned were most likely already on all of these website so pornhub didn't stopped them. It's just to get the media spotlight off of them, but it really didn't changed anything.

Yeah, PornHub needs to be held legally liable for everything they publish — and this extends to the entirety of MindGeek (u/Akali).

up to the parents. reddit is a porn site, hasd a thing asking you if you're 18 which any kid would click on to lie. All of the internet is like that tho, parents need to watch what their kids do

people say think about the children and are against porn just because they want to censor everything, australia used this excuse.

Reddit's not a porn site, in sense of being mainly or largely about porn. I know it seems like it sometimes if you are looking for it(not a personal dig). But you can generally use Reddit for a long time without encountering any of the like. It definitely has become a biased and censoring political site though, so you can't totally avoid that anymore.

it has porn on it so it's a porn site, sorry.

Not a popular opinion here, I know, but I stand by my last sentence.

Most parents don't care, and let their kids do whatever they want. That's the number one reason America is going down-hill. We need a strongman who can whip the country into shape, like their parents never could.

The obvious solution to parental apathy is to require ISPs to block porn websites by default, and have an opt-in option in the router settings. It wouldn't be censorship, because adults can still view porn if they want to, but it would play off of parental apathy to reduce the levels of sexual exposure for minors. Some parents would enable it, because they want to see porn, but even that's a success, because it would get them thinking about their children seeing that stuff too.

nah we already have too much censorship, never add more

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

It ain't censorship if you can still access it — and regardless, if you're concerned about the censorship of pornography: your priorities are mixed up, and perhaps your morals too.

nah porn isn't such an evil thing and you have been conditioned by those who want to censor it cuz think of the children but they want more power to censor other things. like important conspiracy theories that should be discussed, which is already being done.

    [–]Jesus-Christ 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Not really dude it's no secret that porn is inherently bad for you, plus they already said it wouldn't be censorship because you would still have access to it. The people that use the "think of the children" shit use it to censor things besides porn, most people think porn isn't bad because they think porn is a freedom when really sexual liberation is used to control people through vice. It's evident that porn and sexual promiscuity in general is used to create social chaos because it takes advantage of the innate desires of humans, and movements with political narratives as well as corporations notice this which is why they encourage it in order to manipulate them. The only reason as to why people take offense to the anti-porn stance to begin with is because they want to gatekeep their addictions. Literally nothing good comes from porn. Besides, the entire industry is dodgey as fuck. I simply wouldn't support it based purely on the way the actors are treated let alone the impact it's had on society. Especially children considering these things are becoming even more accessible.
