Didn't read, but as a person who uses XFCE, I really wish there was a more common API for applications to use for a GUI, that's not based on GTK or QT. I find when using an app like Kdenlive or anything that uses QT, I have yet to figure out how to change things like disabling sound alerts on dialog windows or change the size of the scroll bars. I also hate the smooth animations when scrolling and such. I really really really wish they stop copying Windows. Windows is such trash tier software to be copying from. :P

Psh, back when I ran gnu/linux, I liked slackware with a fluxbox finish, IIRC. Respect to those making ed or emacs do all the heavy lifting for them.
