One thing I hate that happens occasionally in the lesbian community: the constant association between lesbianism and politics or feminism, of any sort. I'm just a freaking woman who loves other women. I'm so fed up of feeling everyone dictating something about my sexuality for political purposes or worse, because it's edgy or cool (this is more related to the whole LGB(TQwerty) community. Why is it that lesbians can't be left alone? If you're a lesbian and a feminist, I don't care, more power to you. I just don't want to see one thing associated with the other.

Second this. It is weird that people can't separate the two. They may go together when discussing certain topics, but they are not the same and shouldn't be treated as such.

On Saidit, not much. But this is very recent, and yes I was also referring to TL in general. What I mean is: I appreciate feminism, but if I wanted to talk about feminism, I would be on a feminist sub (which, as a matter of a fact, I am on gender critical despite me not being a feminist). I just would prefer this to be 100% lesbian focused, personally. (btw, this post was removed I guess?)
