We hear you! It is absolutely horrid what is happening with lesbian spaces. All because we desire people of the same sex. SEX. And refuse to let any male into our space and love life. We are expected to welcome the males that say, hey boo, wink, the feeling in my head is telling me I am a woman and therefore Im just like you and you oughta see me the same. You see this body here, it is all woman because my head tells me so...ok, so my body like this is not your cup of tea...ok, I'll take hormones, do some shaving, grow out my hair, do voice training, get some implants and as a bonus, I will even reconfigure my penis! Now look at me, how can you not want this?? My manipulated body is just like a female...come on, you transphobe! how can you not want this......!

It is absolutely revolting what is happening and the people who support this vilenesss.

Yeah. Like. Oh, cool? You have a mental illness? That has nothing to do with my sexual orientation. Get the fuck away from me.

You're not alone. I've been feeling so sad since TL got banned, it feels like we put in all this work making an online space for ourselves when every other space EVERYWHERE ELSE IS QUEER/TRANS ALL THE TIME. And they felt entitled to ban our one little space. Such a male thing to do. But honestly this has radicalized me, I've been trying to figure out how to start pointing out the homophobia and misogyny in the TRA agenda irl more cus I'm tired of losing lesbian spaces and I won't be shamed for my exclusive same-sex attraction by anyone.

The trauma of not being allowed to enter a bar. Lol ok

In a roundabout way I'm grateful that the extremists are exposing themselves so clearly. More and more straight people are starting to take notice. There is way too much intimidation and silencing going on for the trans movement to not fall apart. Unfortunately I think it's going to take a lot more societal damage before anything improves for lesbians.

In the meantime, more lesbians also need to grow a spine and stop pandering to males.

This. I'm tired of seeing other lesbians, who secretly agree with me, who then publicly virtue signal about hating "TERFS" and saying shit like "TERFS aren't welcome in the lesbian community!" and I just want to say to them like... "first of all WHAT lesbian community? Second of all you're a TERF too lmao don't think they won't come after you too if they really knew you, don't think the BTQ ~community~ would ever protect you the way you martyr yourself for them."

Unforunately most won't learn until they see the ways it directly begins to affect them negatively. The lesbian community right now is a joke infested with people pretending to be lesbians that want to push out the lesbians. Once any real lesbian left with the TQ+ begins to see how this has been happening all along, I imagine they will understand that with trans dogma nobody wins.

I never even posted to TL much and I always thought the rhetoric was a bit overblown, but I've actually felt really bad since the ban. I've never been scared of self-proclaimed progressives before. It's really shaken me.

I've considered myself "progressive" for years but the last few months have really shown me how scary what is actually going on with the far left--it is getting culturally authoritarian. I still consider myself part of the left in general, but I don't agree that trans activism, homophobia, misogyny, cancel culture, deplatforming, burning books, and political violence to be progressive. Also the bullshit that anyone who questions the narrative trans activism (and I'm starting to see a few other issues) must be "right wing" is terrifying too

    I totally agree

Everything right of Stalinism is right-wing to them.

Do not lose heart,if we survived the christian Right we will survive the woke Left.

Not appreciating the pincer attack though. Never thought lesbians would be in the line of fire from the left.

    [–]plumedoomer 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The Christian Right is actually a bit more tolerable. At least they're disgusted enough to leave you alone instead of hunting us down and infecting everything we have. No, the woke are for more insidious and malicious in their hate.

But, they're always going to either hate us or be disgusted by us because most people are straight or bi and most people are not logical. Straights cannot fathom attraction to the same sex and bis cannot fathom that we cannot just change our sexuality.

Tell me about it. The invasion of non lesbians in particular from those creepy men is maddening. The other thing that is upsetting that some actual lesbians are supporting them and causing further damage.

I've been thinking about this and you know, minorities, espeeecially women have been tortured and sileced since forever. We have this false sense of security nowadays because its 21st century, human rights, equality, yada yada. Dont be fooled, these people silencing us now are the same who would burn us at the stake centuries ago. The strugle persists through the years. But I also must warn you: don't let the internet get to much to your head! In reality, or even, just outside of reddit and twitter, where people have to show their faces, TRAs lose it all. Talk to some real people in real life and you'll feel better. Homossexuality will soon be normalized by the masses, cant say the same about trans, their concepts are far too more complex.

Especially when queens ran the major nations of Europe (the superpower continent of the world at the time).

I'm just embittered by it all.

Even movements that align themselves with us like LGB Drop the T don't seem to get the point. So many gay men making excuses for certain transwomen, saying #MeToo is contributing to the "conservative backlash" they're hoping for. I have trouble just engaging with spaces like this, it's so depressing and feels like a waste of a life to be a gay woman. I try to focus on anything other than LGBT, but the T is shoved into things that aren't even remotely related.
