Sometimes I wish I was straight because if I was with a woman then it would be clear that I am a man to them and I also wouldn’t have to worry about homophobia or discrimination for being gay

So, the straight woman wish that she was a lesbian because that would make her relatiobship to her homophobic family better...

Her logic is that the surest external sign that you’re a man is if you date women. Sounds like these homophobic parents have a homophobic daughter. This is why it’s dangerous to have these obliviously homophobic mentally ill people with identity issues hanging around in gay spaces teaching their horseshoe homophobia to LGB youth.

They need help too but their problems are the opposite of ours and so we need our own resources and spaces to address our unique needs, as they should have their own.

Yeah, it's not as though women have ever suffered any discrimination or hostility for dating each other! 🙄
