All sounds good to me!

The thing that I was worried about was the account sharing with other rDrama sites but since that's settled I can't see anything wrong with this.

This is great and I'm happy to hear it! :) I didn't provide any input in the other post because... I don't know, I don't feel like I'm a "community member" per say as much as "occasional lurker and commenter" but I'm happy to follow wherever you go.

Would upvotes/downvotes and the people who made them be visible? And to who? How will upvotes/downvotes affect comments and posts?

Forgot to ask:

  • Will the site be "light mode," or dark-themed? (It'd be cool if there were a way to switch between the two.)

  • Will we have the 2-button upvote system like on Saidit, with "insightful" and "fun"? I honestly really like having that differentiator.

edit: Also adding...

I have long considered starting another couple of subs if there is sufficient interest to justify it-- a sub for bisexual and lesbian women, maybe called "LBwomen", and a sub documenting specific examples of LGB people being pressured to transition specifically to hide their same-sex attraction or homosexuality, maybe called "TransTheGayAway". I never got around to doing it, but I might like to sometime after we move. Will there be an option to create subs like there is on Reddit/Saidit? Or is it more of a hassle to start a new sub?

This is awesome, NutterButter! Thanks for getting back to us so fast! I'm excited!!! This seems like a great option. While I'm not sure I want to participate on the other rDrama sites, I think it's really kind of rDrama to offer to host a site for us.

I have a couple of questions:

  1. Regarding initial costs: Did rDrama offer to cover that? I certainly hope you aren't dealing with that all on your own! I think there are a lot of people who would be happy to help fund an LGB-focused site.

  2. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I just wanted to make sure I am understanding things correctly: you're the only mod currently, right, NutterButter? That seems like a ton of pressure on one person... is there anything that we as users can do to help make the transition smooth?

And:

If you continue to share on SaidIt, great! I can add you as Approved users to s/LGB too.

I would definitely be interested in contributing to both these subs on Saidit!

edit: Ugh, copied the wrong text.
