As long as I live, I’ll never understand why TomboyX started marketing to transmen. If you want to wear men’s underwear, wouldn’t you just buy it in the men’s section instead of buying it from a company originally marketed to lesbians?

I might be way off base, but I'm pretty sure that most companies aren't going to switch up their marketing like that without knowing that there's a customer base.

Which is what's actually kind of scary.

  1. Why does the term "packing brief" gross me out so much?

  2. This is why the conservatives will win this culture war.

And quite likely undo years of work to decriminalise same-sex relationships and legalise same-sex unions when they do.

Suprised we can still call something Tomboy, even bullshit tran-der garments.

Only a few years ago, when I was looking for for underwear of the covers-my-entire-butt variety, I remember looking at TomboyX, and I don't remember any gender woo at the time. I didn't buy anything because of cost, but I remember thinking their products looked pretty good. This woowoo thing is evolving fast. (Although back then, it wouldn't have stood out to me if they did, so it possible I'm just not remembering.)

As a woman who wears mens underwear because I hate wedgies. I find it pretty infuriating that companies like Target are looking at this bullshit 'packing underwear' as something to mass produce, instead of just normal underpants with a proper long inseam like men's regularly have but shaped for women's bodies. I've looked into TomboyX in the past but I'm not willing to pay more for one pair of underpants than I can get a 10 pack of men's for. I bet nice normal hipster trunks for women at the same price point as they are for men would be a great seller, because who does like wedgies. But nope, underwear for normal, wedgie hating, active women are considered super specialist while underpants with a big cotton sausage in the groin are for mass production!
