What the actual fuck. I had no idea about any of this, although pre-COVID I was in one of their shops and they had brochures at the cash desk that was all about tran crap. Had to wonder why I was subjected to that while buying soap, but I never looked into it any further. On a positive note, glad to be reminded that Ogre has been shutting up lately.

Lush is yet another activist retailer like the Body Shop that just runs headlong into whatever is labeled the most progressive cause at the time, in order to gain low info but well-meaning consumers. I may agree with other things like some environmental policies because this overall strategy is hit and miss, but things like this clearly show the dark side of that corporate pandering approach.

I know, right? I had no idea they were that deep into gender identity ideology.

Boycott, anyone?

I haven't been in a brick and mortal Lush store in ages. The Canadian location referenced is in B.C., which doesn't surprise me. Oger territory is woke as fuck.

The breast binders thing confuses me. What is the logic. Breast binders for everyone? Like a fashion accessory. They keep telling us that 'trans' isn't just a lifestyle choice, but gimmicks like this reinforce the fact that yeah, it is, and/or they're soliciting recruits.

(If anyone knows of a dupe for Lush's sea salt shampoo, I'm all ears)

I have never tried the original, but I found this DIY recipe for it-- maybe worth a shot?
