I loved when Rhona Hotchkiss said that she’s not queer after William Connelly said she was. She made her points clear and concise, whereas William Connelly was downplaying the consequences of what he’s advocating for.

This is starting to enrage me. The queer thing. I don't care if people want to call themselves that--good for you--but don't call people you don't know "queer" unless they tell you it's okay. How hard is basic reciprocity? We have to call them what they want to be called or we're banned and fired but they refuse to do it for us? Fuck that. The more they push "queer isn't a slur, never was a slur" the more determined I am to misgender every last one of them.

I know that many make that claim.

I have wathed a few seconds of a video made by a medical doctor who claims females can get a new set of breasts if they want their breast back after a mastectomy.

Medical doctors such as that woman are ghouls.

Ughhhhh, I can't believe she didn't bring up this study (the Singh thesis)! Would've been the perfect rebuttal! Seriously... "90% of the clinically-diagnosed gender dysphoria cases desisted by adulthood," that is SO relevant. If you medically transitioned 100% of children who are clinically diagnosed with gender dysphoria, on average you'll harm 90% of them!

I felt frustrated watching this. I agree with the comments, the very definition of "gender identity" should have been brought up. And I think it should be emphasized, "loud and proud": You can be "cis" and gender non-conforming, you do NOT have to identify as transgender to be gender-nonconforming! edit: She did observe that she is lesbian and GNC herself but didn't attach that fact explicitly to the debate, in the way that she could have: Many gender-nonconforming LGB people are perfectly happy not transitioning and shouldn't be PRESSURED to transition, in a society that dislikes GNC people and would much rather deal with a lighter cognitive burden by pressuring them to "pretend they're a member of the opposite sex."

She did get into some good points about exploring eating disorders, etc. as possible complicating factors in gender dysphoria cases, around 13:50. His response was so ridiculous, he just responded with a vague ad hominem about LGB Alliance.

I really wish she had cited that study. Man. I'm sure LGB Alliance tweeted about it, too.
