'Dad' and 'daddy' are terms some gay and bisexual men use for older gay and bisexual men. Not sure why, but it might have something to do with the fact that some gay and bisexual men have issues with their fathers.

True. I love my dad, and he's a good dad, but he’s not perfect. There is no such thing as a perfect parent.

There's also 2 or 3 other issues. Many people say it in a purely sexual way but don't perceive it as being related to biological parents. It's more like a power dynamic thing.

Then you have the literal sugar daddies which both parties are just using each other...

Then you have a more outdated relationship where older men would actually fill in the gap of a custodial family figure because families would often disown their gay sons and that overlapped with a sexual relationship. I'm sure it wasn't totally healthy but it was better than dumping teenagers on the streets.
