Anime was a mistake.

Adding the T in LGB was a huge mistake.

I was really disappointed to learn that my Reddit account is not flagged as transphobic by Shinigami Eyes.

I'm going to have to step up my game.

Death Note is actually a brilliant story, despite it being an anime. It explores themes of justice, right and wrong and how absolute power slowly corrupts a person from within in a very clever and fun way. If it had been released as a book series or a tv show, I believe that people that are hesitant about watching anime would really enjoy the story.

No disrespect to the actual writing, but anime has just spawned so many creepy things. Too many to justify it's continued existence.

Furries. Bronies (yall forgot about bronies I know you did). "Consentual tentacle porn". Tentacle rape. Weebs. More katana vs English short sword arguments than you can shake a spear at.

[–]MilkTea 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Furries and bronies are not from anime lol

[–]Retardation_station 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

The art style is very heavily inspired by Anime.

[–]MilkTea 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

They're not. And there are different art styles within anime

I was mostly shitposting. Like 85%

I don't particularly care about anime one way or another.

At the end of the day, however, it should surprise no one that Laurelai is a weeb and the name of that extension is pure cringe.

I've tried using that browser extension just to see if I or any other Redditors I'm familiar with are tagged/red, but I can never seem to get anything to change color. Does anyone know how it actually works?

[–]RippoffOfLoveSStraight | Overuses quotation marks 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It colors their names differently if they've been tagged as "t-friendly" or "anti-trans." It does work on both new and old reddit, but I find that more people tend to be tagged on Twitter.

Mark helped me figure it out, it's working now!

Apparently BabylonBee is tagged as "anti-trans", LOL. Can't wait to see what other sites are on their shit-list.

None of us mods are tagged, surprisingly.

For some reason I've never remember seeing it's effects on reddit. It's supposed to automatically colour the links. It works pretty well on youtube, twitter, and even google search to expose those icky "transphobic" accounts and websites, including mine. You can change the colour scheme too from the default red(evil)/green(good).

[–]NutterButterFlutterStill waving into the void 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Yeah, I've never been able to see names in any other colors, I dunno what I'm doing wrong.

Last time I tried it, either AHS or the Masstagger subs had pictures of a couple "transphobic" accounts on Twitter, so I installed the extension and went to those Twitter accounts, and nothing changed for me. Still black text for their user names instead of red.

Do I need to tag a user first, and then the floodgates open maybe?

[–]MarkJeffersonTight defenses and we draw the line 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

No, I didn't need to tag anyone first before I could see the colour on accounts like the LGBA.

Maybe another extension is interfering with the text appearance; Stylish, maybe? Also, by default it's not enabled to work in incognito mode if you're using that. Or maybe check the "details" of that extension and make sure it's "on" and has site access "On all sites".

[–]NutterButterFlutterStill waving into the void 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

has site access "On all sites".

OMG I'm an idiot. <facepalm>

I don't know if I deselected that, or the pop-up didn't appear before, or what. But that's all it was. Thank you!

Oh hey, guess what u/xandit?

Now that I finally have the extension working, you're the first user on Reddit I came across who has the naughty red name.

Good thing it's hardly visible for me because of the bright green RES tag and huge number of upvotes I've given you ;)

I'm a different username over there, is that the one you see? Good to know I am famous. They really liked my movie idea.

[–]NutterButterFlutterStill waving into the void 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, it's your other username. I'm really surprised I haven't seen more, whether red or green. They're slacking on the job by not tagging any mods.

You're welcome :)

Hey, deathnote is a classic.
