Even if this was made up or exaggerated, it’s terrifying that he thinks he comes off looking like the victim.

And I will call attention to the line

The woman who assaulted me used transphobic language which may have been coincidentally very similar to TERF rhetoric in her accounts to the police.

You know what counts as transphobic and TERF rhetoric? “He” “man” “male” “man in a dress.”

How can any parent in good faith, no less a mother who was likely physically weaker than this man, accurately convey the gravity of what happened without using that language? And why should she have to even try? This is what happens when people say using “preferred pronouns” is basic human courtesy and this is why I use sex-based pronouns when they are relevant and don’t apologize for it, and will firmly disagree with anyone who tries to correct me.

That people can’t see the inherent misogyny in requiring female victims of male violence to pretend they were assaulted by their fellow women is beyond me. Nor can you convey the homophobia and sexism behind the concept of “trans kids” without using sex-based pronouns.

I also have 1 guess as to who the user who posted this story is, and it’s disturbing what gets you banned from Reddit these days but what is apparently totes cool and falls more into “hide the evidence” territory.

Yes yes yes yes yes. Your concise words, they make my belly warm and full. Thank you.

Hah, I've never heard a reaction described that way but I tend to have a similar one to u/yousaythosethings's comments. :)

Wow, I am honored to hear that, especially coming from you :) your comments are definitely a disproportionate number of my "saved" comments/posts, haha. (I know some people think there's no "save" function on Saidit but there is on the mobile version.)

While I’m glad you can understand where I’m coming from and that my words resonated with you, it’s a shame that it has to be on this topic. But I do find comfort in finding other people who haven’t lost their minds in this madness.
