Atrocious people indeed. Andrew Sullivan's new Substack article on trans issues is pretty good.

"For some radical feminists, my empathy for trans women, and concern for their welfare, is regarded as a function of my misogyny and hatred of women, often wrapped up in some anti-gay, misandrist bile. I wish I were exaggerating here as well. The proportion of people in this debate who seem psychologically unstable, emotionally volatile and personally vicious seems larger than usual. "

ETA: That was a good article. I agree with most of it. I want to paste it to many people's foreheads whom I personally know, but of course, I'd probably get mistreated in response. ("Cancelled" implies some sort of validity to mistreating people for wrongthink, so eff that.)

(Thanks for posting the link; I was about to, it was very late at night when I wrote here and saw that when you go to the article through Google there's a paywall. But if you go through AS's Twitter there isn't.. I was too exhausted to explain. 😅)

I thought it was a good article too. Andrew is someone who's been getting up my nose for 25 years, irks me constantly, but when he's good on something, he's good.
