Please everyone, if you're ordering books, try to not order from Amazon. Amazon has been blocking gender critical books. It is evil and once it has the complete monopoly will engage in even more censorship than it is now.

There are other reasons to not give Amazon the business, but which GC books are they actually blocking? Every time I go to look one up, they appear to have it.

As far as I'm aware they've only removed one so far: When Harry became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment by Ryan Anderson.

It's a fairly balanced view that comes to an unremarkable conclusion: minors don't really have the capacity to consent to life-altering medical procedures.

It fell foul of Amazon's 'policy' against 'depicting LGBTQI+ identity as a mental illness'. It's a clever bit of wordplay there by Amazon, because the idea that being homosexual is a mental illness went out of fashion years ago, but the jury is still very much out on whether gender dysphoria is a 'real' mental illness. It's still in the DSM (which remains on Amazon) but apparently books for regular people that allude to transgender people (with actual dysphoria, rather than the transtrenders) having a mental illness are beyond the pale and must be censored.

Amazon did something nefarious with Abigail Shrier's book, IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE, but I can't remember the exact scandal. Shrier is very upset by Amazon's censorship, so if you do a search with her name and Amazon you should pull up some info on it.

The other GC-ish book that Amazon screwed with is by a conservative who has been very good on gender issues, Ryan T. Anderson. A search will pull up a lot of information on that, as it caused quite a controversy.

They blocked advertising for it, I believe.
