Here's what UCLA has to say. Maybe you see the connection to LGB support?

We must unapologetically act in solidarity with the Movement for Black Lives.

We must hold steadfast in our support of undocumented and international students and scholars. We must amplify and center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, Queer and Trans People of Color (QTBIPOC) in our work towards greater social and racial justice.

We must ensure accessibility is uplifted in our pursuit of a community which honors all members, including those of us who are disabled and/or neurodivergent.

We must work towards greater equity and access for nonbinary, agender, and transgender community members.

They didn't even mention gays and lesbians once... 🤦🏾‍♀️ I'm Black but dang don't they have a Black Student Union to talk about the Movement for Black Lives and even in the immigration part, no mention of homosexual refugees and how the center supports them... Gahh it all just feels so fake

I know a bit about UCLA, and it's long been an epicenter for everything you quote here.

I'm probably showing my ignorance here, but how can undocumented immigrants sign up at a major university? Aren't universities obliged to ensure that all their students have a legal right to be in the country?

I'm pretty sure over here that failure to do so counts as a crime. Something like harbouring illegal immigrants or something.

I'm not really sure, but it's absolutely a thing. I used to get spammed with emails saying "support undocumented students!!" and stuff. (I'm in the US)

My WOKE US uni routinely solicits alumni contributions specifically for students not in the US legally. They are probably DREAMERs, but I'm not sure.
