Thanks for the introduction to Pat Parker! I bought her complete works after reading this poem, so beautiful! Love seeing proud black lesbians!!

Also gonna show this poem to my gf and see what she thinks about it, I feel like it's a good way to introduce some of my LGBdroptheT thoughts and see what she thinks on the issue more.

Aww thats wonderful!

Even though she died in 1989, there are audio recordings of her reading her poetry on youtube as well. Hearing her voice is incredible too.

I think you will enjoy this one, especially since its one of the few videos I could find where you can actually see her reading her poem "For Straight Folk" at what I am pretty sure is a pride parade:

Another fun fact is that Pat Parker was friends with Audre Lorde.
